Kai nods, “Then stay. Maybe talk to Eddie, see if there isn’t anything you can do to help him with the castle layout or something.” Vali nods and stands up and goes over to Eddie. They talk quietly, Eddie is still talking to Jon and Jane over the coms too. An hour or so later there’s a tapping at the window, Kai turns his head to see a large snowy owl. Eddie grabs Claire’s clothes and drops them outside for her then she quickly comes back in.

Leesa was not about to leave her mom and brother with the burden of all that knowledge, especially since the danger from the Necromancer and the black waziri was still out there, nor was she going to let Rome and Smith depart knowing everything they now knew. She let go of Rave’s hand and pulled her cell from her pocket. She pressed a memory button and waited while the phone rang. When the person on the other end picked up, Leesa spoke a single word: “Now.” They waited several minutes, which Leesa mostly spent hugging her mom and her brother. Finally, they heard a fluttering of wings above them and looked up to see a large brown and white owl alight on a branch fifteen feet above the ground.

"We’re going home, right? To our house?" Edward looked down at him. "That’s the plan." Oliver whooped and ran toward the car, already narrating his future like a tour guide. "I’m gonna sleep in the room with the round window! And Mommy can have the big one! And there’s space for a treehouse, right? You will build it, right?" Edward laughed. "We’ll see what I can do." I stood there, completely numb, watching them like I’d stepped into someone else’s life.

He sighed, coming to terms with my words because he knows how true they are. “Look, I told you everything I know about that girl the last time you were here. My wife found her in the woods with the dead bodies of other Omegas we believe were her family. Eleanor only saved her life.” His eyes told a different story. There was more to it than he was letting on especially as his wife had made some strange statements earlier. She called Eudora trouble. How much trouble could an Omega be?

The house was too quiet… that something felt odd. In the middle of the night, where the full moon had shone, Arth had trouble sleeping. His exhausted body wanted to rest so badly but his guts were keeping him awake. He groaned as he sat up from his white bed, then he glanced through the windows. His eyes went wide of what he saw. A white owl stood on a branch of a tree outside, watching Arth. Its white feathers gleamed with the moonlight but its eyes glowed brightly—so round and entirely locked at him. Who would see a damn bird that has glowing eyes?

Owen asked. “Yeah,” I answered, feeling a little guilty that I hadn’t shared that yet. “So you’re taking after your grandmother and being a human Luna,” Owen said, connecting the dots. “Yes,” I confirmed, then sipped my tea. Everyone went silent for a moment before Easton said, “Hey, now we have ties to Juniper Moon.” “True,” Owen said with a nod. The five of us sat there and talked about my grandparents and parents until the dogs started to bark, letting us know that Esadowa had arrived. All of us stood up and walked outside to the porch. Esadowa parked her truck behind mine and got out.

A princess, offering her hand in marriage when your dowry is worth just as much as their entire generation’s wealth?” But the House of the Wolves’ territory isn’t one to be underestimated. I’ve been to their lands. They are wealthy. They are successful. Sure, not as wealthy as the royal family, but I’m sure they can level to the top Houses… had they not been so uncouth. Well, they’re wolves, after all. “Mayhap you were determined to marry him, and only him?” Eudora asks. She leans into me. “Tell us about this Alpha, sister.”

Days had passed since Olivia left. She chose to go away from Edward for sometime, in order to be at peace. ** Olivia stood at a safe distance from the old, dilapidated house nestled deep within the dense forest. The moon's pale glow cast an eerie aura over the surroundings, adding an extra layer of mystique to the scene. She watched as a group of individuals entered the house, their figures shrouded in darkness. Intrigued by their presence, Olivia's curiosity got the better of her. Who were these people? What brought them to such a remote and ominous place?

Jamal’s POV The message from the owl arrived under the cloak of night, a messenger of the unseen realms. Its white feathers glowed in the moonlight, and in its beak, it carried a small vial—a vessel containing an otherworldly concoction. The air crackled with arcane energy as the owl descended, talons gripping the edge of my windowsill.

" The man said, and Micah could only nod; she was beginning to lose her sanity. "There is an owl in your house." The man said when Micah turned to leave. "He would be loyal; do not turn him away. Although you might already be on his bad side, there will come a time when you will need to rely on him." The old man said, and Micah sighed before continuing on her way. "He says there is an owl, and then he calls the owl him! Micah thought as she massaged her temples. After a while she was done distributing the food; with her escorts, she descended the staircase and entered the carriage.
