Then his expression shifted slightly as he looked at me more carefully. “So,” he said. “You and Xavier. It’s real?” My chest tightened. I hesitated. Then nodded. “Yes.” I barely finished speaking before the atmosphere shifted. Cold. Familiar. Xavier. “Connor Leroy.”

The little fuck released her hand and glowered at me when I stepped closer. "Who is this person Danielle?" She looked at me as she stood and came over to my side. "This is Connor Robert." "Him? That's who you think you're going to marry? Your father will never allow you to marry this...this person." Twenty-five to life that's all I thought when I looked at him, so I tamped down on the anger and ignored his dumb ass. As long as he wasn't touching her anymore, the fucker could live. He glanced toward Tina. She was watching us like a hawk. Emerson’s jaw tightened, and he offered me a stiff smile. “Nothing,” he said quietly. “It’s nothing.” Eric, oblivious to the tension in the room or simply too entranced by Rita's baby bump, said as his face glowed with pride.

He told them with such excitement in his voice. “Sage?” Elmer called when he couldn’t find her. “Elmer, I’m over here. I want you to meet Connell. He is engaged to Caera.” Sage told her with such joy in her voice. Elmer held out his hand to shake hands with Connell. When Connell looked up at Elmer, he gaped at the man. He looked just like the mummy they had found. A few different features, but the same skin tone, Connell could see him in the same outfit. When he noticed he hadn’t let go of the man’s hand, he dropped it.

Eric questioned. Damien heaved a long sigh. He threw his head backwards and rested it on his chair. He brought his head back to face Eric. "You're right. We do not know each other personally... But..there is a connection between us". Damien replied. "What is that?". "It's not what, it's who". Damien answered. Eric narrowed his eyes. "Emma". Damien said.

He asks as he comes over to me pulling me into an embrace and taking my lips with his. “I missed you.” I told him and pulled him in for another kiss. “Baby I’ve been here the whole time other than training with Caleb.” Conner said and he had a big smile on his face. “I’m guessing by that smile you are loving this new side of you.” I say as my phone dings again and he looks at it on the bed. “It’s Emma. She has been texting me like crazy. Why does she want me back in Canyon Ridge so bad?” I ask him.

I was getting tired of waiting for her to come, and still haven't seen her, so I really had to speak up, because I can't really stand it anymore. "Connor, I thought you said, you say Emma walking into the house last night?" I asked. "Yes alpha, I really saw her." Connor answered. "Then, why isn't she here yet?" I asked him. "I don't really know alpha, but I'm sure she was the one I saw." Connor said, with so much confidence. "Connor, I'm not sure you are sure of what you are saying, and I'm finding it funny anymore." I told him.

"What kind of vision are you trying to manifest here? Since I have a moment of peace, I think I shall stay and oversee the rest of Emma’s work." The photographer’s face drained of color. He had clearly hoped our connection was a myth. "Why is your head bowed now? You had plenty to say to Ava a moment ago," Connor rumbled. "What? Are you shivering? Did you truly believe you could bait her without me catching the scent?" "I... my Lord... I had no knowledge. Truly, I was blind to your... connection," the photographer stammered, his tongue seemingly frozen in his mouth. "And so you believed that gave you the right to break her?" Although Connor had been thinking along those lines, being called out by Erin before everyone made his face darken with anger. Sienna: I was halfway through the reports I’d been meaning to finalize when my phone vibrated across the desk. I frowned in confusion before taking a glance at it. No one ever bothered calling me, and for a moment, I feared that something might have happened to Isla. However, the name flashing on the screen made my heart stutter. Damon… I eyed it warily for a second before picking up, already knowing what kind of mood he was in today by the time he opened his mouth.
