Ever. I zoomed in, scanning every tiny detail. My breath felt stuck somewhere between my chest and throat as I studied her face, her posture, the background. Anything that could explain it. And then I noticed something else — her breasts were smaller than mine. “What’s going on?” I whispered, still confused, still staring, still unable to process any of this properly. Could this be AI? Some bored, jobless person taking my picture from online and editing it? Because people do absolutely anything with AI these days — make fake accounts, steal identities, clone faces…

Just as I was about to give up, a face identical to mine suddenly filled the enlarged screen. The face took up the entire screen, crying tears of blood and grinning grotesquely at the camera. My mind went blank, and I let out a terrified scream!

STACY I was still looking for what to say even after a minute had passed. All the talking was going on in my head. He had Patricia’s strong gaze, though his manifested in dark, blue orbs. His facial structure, the perfection of it was also something that ran in the family. It was nearly impossible for Lisa to have any issue with contouring her cheeks while I struggled with mine. And who can forget high elves? Tall, beautiful, clear eyes, long lives, connections to nature, natural leaders. Self important bastards to be honest. Like most fairies, I’m on the short side with pointed ears and colourful hair. Mine’s purple actually. But otherwise, I look like my older brother, Russell, and my mother. Slender, pale, grey eyes.
