Just like how Zee cried after she finished the final Harry Potter book, or how Jamie bases so much of her worth on the fictional version of herself that lives across a thousand Instagram pics, in the comments and likes of a thousand strangers. Just carefully constructed lies to comfort and lull. Dreams.

Chapter Thirty-Five. Anastasia's POV. The more seconds that passes by, the more I wish Sebastian Hunter has started explaining stuffs to me. This is exactly what is called fantasy come true. It feels like a dream to me, but this time, I don't want to wake. Furthermore, I want this to be true. I want it real that Vampires actually exist. That Hunters, Werewolves, Witches and Wizards actually exist. Yes, it's crazy but it is fascinating as a fantasy genre author to see their imagination come through.

I deserved better, this stupid year was just kicking my ass. Assuring myself of this, I took a deep breath out, running a hand through my hair as I crossed the road, headed straight into the library, putting my phone into my jacket pocket. The town library was exceptionally big, not too large though, but I must admit could hold quite a lot of books as they were rows upon rows. I made my way straight to the books about fantasy creatures, realizing that they were surprisingly many. Young Adult fantasy is a thing...like a big deal, I noted reading through so interesting titles, but not the specific one I was looking for.

“No magic? None at all? But how is that possible?” “To them, magic is a fantastical notion, while things like motorcycles and carriages that fly through the air like a bird are their reality.” My eyebrows rose. “Carriages that fly?” Voice turning dry and belief faltering, I said, “Really?” How absurd. He couldn’t honestly expect me to believe such a thing.

Anna asks as she holds on to Caspian's arm. "Of course I do! Among all other creatures there is." Caspian replies as they both cross the street, pass the willow then to the trail. It is a clear night with all the stars shining brilliantly in the night skies. It really gives the impression of an enchanted evening...or is it just because of how these two beings are projecting their emotions? "Which creatures exist among the fairy tales Jo and I have read? Are Vampires, Werewolves, Dwarfs, Hobbits living amongst us? Wait, is Gandalf for real?"

“Not that I’d brag or anything.” Seraphine raised an eyebrow. “Right. Subtle.” Mina rolled her eyes. “Dragon boys and Djinn. Always dramatic.” Finally, Lyra spoke, her voice lower, carrying an almost silky quality. “Castle Tenebrae, castle of the Dreamwalkers, incubi, illusionists. I’m Phantasm. We bend dreams and emotions into shape, weaving illusions so real they can make you laugh, cry, or break.” Her gaze lingered on Seraphine, steady, knowing. “People say Phantasms blur the line between reality and desire. That’s why they fear us.”
