What We Kept In The Dark

What We Kept In The Dark

Then somehow we drift into talking about jobs, and I tell him about the time I worked at a call center and had someone scream at me for twenty minutes about their cable bill, and he tells me about the summer he worked construction and accidentally put a nail through his shoe. “Did it go through your foot?” I ask, wincing. “Just barely missed. But I had to walk around the rest of the day with a nail sticking out of my boot because we were on a deadline.” “That’s horrifying.” “It was character building.” I laugh and it feels good, feels normal, feels like I’m not constantly bracing for the next disaster. We keep talking—childhood stories, embarrassing moments, things we believed as kids that w

The first few chapters were emotional and easy to connect with. I really felt for the female lead and everything she has been through. Jeremy’s quiet support stood out to me, and the tension surrounding the pregnancy and her past keeps the story interesting. I’m looking forward to seeing how things

Oh Ryan, karma will deal with you, HEAVILY! Such an asshole, and the guys for him to think he has every right to search for her after disappearing for three good months?! And Jeremy, that's the gentleman every lady needs. I really hope Cam figures it all out and survives it all. I ship Jerry & Cam...

The Hidden Twins of the CEO

The Hidden Twins of the CEO

A man said and his team started laughing. Hearing this, I fisted my hand in anger. I cleared my throat to get their attention. "I didn't know my employees can make these useless jokes in work time. Do I give you payment for these fucking jokes?" I shouted at them. Their faces went pale finding me there. "We are very sorry Mr. King. We will not do this again" One of them told me. I looked at Max and spoke up," I want their resignation letters the first thing tomorrow in the morning."

The proof reading for this novel is incredibly bad. The writing in general itself too also is very lethargic, it feels like it's written by primary going kid. I wanted to give the storyline some chance but honestly I could not due to incredible poor writing skills

I want to read this book because others have recommended. I have read earlier comments about grammatical errors that were really bad and some duplicate chapters. I was just wondering if they were corrected especially duplicate chapters because I have come across too many books with that issue and

The CEO'S Forgotten Promise

The CEO'S Forgotten Promise

“Though I once tried cooking for my staff and nearly burned down the test kitchen. True story.” I laughed out loud. The joke was so simple, but the way he told it, with that playful sparkle in his eyes, actually made it funny. “You? Burning down a kitchen? I can’t picture it.” We kept talking as the food came. He answered every question patiently ... about his childhood, his craziest business deal, even what he does when he’s not working. He told another joke about getting lost in his own building on the first day as CEO, and I found myself laughing again, genuinely enjoying his company.

I haven’t read this book yet. I liked the plot but skeptical to start as this book is not completed. I added this to my library and when it’s complete I will read as I am having a bad experience with a book where writer is just dragging the story with chapters which are just few pages in length

I’ve added to my library but refuse to read any book that is not completed. Very frustrated with updated chapters and unfortunately a few books over 600 chapters still not ending and updated chapters were just fluff. Once this is completed, will gladly read.

Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees

Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees

The night rolled on in a blur of laughing, teasing and ridiculous stories. They roasted Samira for the time she tripped during a big corporate event. Tasha told a story about accidentally emailing a love confession to the whole company. Devin swore up and down he saw a ghost in the break room once. Then Theo talked about the time Samira accidentally sent a draft ad with a massive typo to the entire executive board ("Best Crapper Rates!" instead of "Best Career Rates!"). Samira turned beet red, and she covered her face with her hands while everyone howled with laughter.

One Joke Too Many

One Joke Too Many

"You've only heard Seth's side. Didn't you ever think to ask me what I've been through? "Is Seth good to me? At the company party, he had his pet sales manager, Lily, embarrass me in front of everyone. He 'rewarded' me with three days of cleaning toilets and accused me of getting ahead by flirting with old men. Did you have any clue? "I helped build this company with Seth from the ground up, leaving behind a job that paid a million a year. For twelve years, I've been out there, rain or shine, pulling in clients and propping up our numbers!

The Billionaire's Tomboy

The Billionaire's Tomboy

I loved the care that her words and actions showed. She glared at me, "Why are you smiling? Is my words funny?" I shook my head quickly. I would face her wrath otherwise. The wrath of a mama bear is no joke. "Nothing is funny. I was just thinking of something else." I said in a bid to appease her. "Enough of that. Continue your story." She said as she faced me totally with her eyebrows furrowed in concern. "My coworkers invited me out to a workers' hangout. I did not know it was a trap. They spiked the drink they gave me." I explained.
