Before I could answer, I smelt him before he opened the door. I looked to the door to see Jasper, who was wearing grey jogging pants with a plain white t-shirt. His hair looked as if he had just gotten out of the shower, but what made my eyes stay on him longer were the bags under his eyes. Jasper had an eye-catching eye color so natural that my eyes would go to his eyes, but there was a big grey swelling around his eyes. My heart hurt knowing that I should comfort him, but I couldn’t, not after what I learned last night.
“Oh, um, sorry, I didn’t know you two were in here,” he said, scratching behind his head.
