“Wait.” I frowned. “No. Later-” “It’s okay.” He cut me off and caught my arm when I tried to side-step him and walk away. He then turned to the young woman who had quietly been watching us. At first glance, anybody could tell that she had a good body. He shoulder-length brown hair fell in luxurious waves over her ears. She had big black eyes that followed the whole scene in confusion. So, this was the kind of woman that Hiro-san liked. “Sorry, Hana-chan. Today’s a little… I’ll contact you later. Forgive me.”

She quickly pushed Jerry aside who looked disappointed, he scoffed sadly folding his hands. Erica bent over slowly since her baby bump was larger now. Their was a pile of human skeletons, she saw a little light beeping from them. She reached in between the skeletons shutting her eyes and grabbing what was there. She stood up moving away quickly from the skeletons. It was a phone. Her eyes lit up at once. "A phone..." she said in excitement. Jerry's eyes widened "a phone? How?" Erica ignored him and tried dailing Jerry's number but it wouldn't connect, the phone battery was very low.

The weight of unsaid words and concealed facts hovered in the air like a storm cloud preparing to release its wrath. "Selene," Gabriel repeated, his voice now laced with a combination of skepticism and awareness. "Is it really you?" Selene nodded, tears welling up in her eyes. "Yes, Gabriel, it's me. I've spent my whole life hunting for you." A tense hush crept over the area as the pack members, including Isabella, watched the reunion occur. It was a vulnerable moment, one that had the capacity to transform the dynamics of the pack and the fates of those involved.
