Haunting Nightmares Romane & Geschichten

I stared down at the blood on her body, at the blood on mine, and the man lying lifeless on the bed, soaked in his own blood. I killed him. With a shaky breath, I turned to find Mason’s mother standing in the hallway. A gun in her hands. Her face was filled with pure hatred for me. Her eyes were dark, lips curled. “Die, bi—” Sometimes, dreams can be misleading, like this one. Suddenly, everything began to shift. Then it got hot, and then I jerked up. . . *cough* I didn’t know how long I had been asleep, but the moment I opened my eyes, I felt it.

Suddenly, an explosion vibrated the ground and when I looked up, a black smoke emitted in the air toward the hamlet. “Randolph!” A gasp escaped my lips. Grabbing my dress, I darted back to the forest and ran. My feet flew over dead leaves and stones as I scouted for the hamlet, the branches of the trees whipped my face and tugged at my dress. My heart thumped behind my chest as I zigzagged through the sparsely darkened forest. Suddenly, I arrived at the hamlet and the scene before me almost crippled me. Before me were terrifying monsters from my nightmares; lycans; as my father would call them; they pounced and ripped apart the bodies of my father’s men who have also shifted into their wolve

Whoever did it had been merciless. People began whispering that the dungeon boss was sending a warning. I kept my head down. Victor had told me to sleep in his room the night before, but he never came back all night. I didn't tell anyone. After all, someone had just been killed, and everyone was on edge. One veteran even pulled out a rare item called the Specter Scanner, which could detect monsters. My heart nearly stopped. I might look human, but underneath, I was still a monster.

That night, Hailey tossed and turned in bed. Every time she closed her eyes, Jeremy’s face appeared in her mind. She tried desperately not to think of him, but he haunted her like an unshakable shadow. Finally, she drifted off to sleep, only to find herself back in the nightmare, tied up alongside Whitney. The moment Jeremy chose Whitney, her heart felt as if it were being gnawed by a thousand ants. “No!” Hailey woke up with a start, tears streaming down her face. Even though she no longer cared about Jeremy, why did she keep having those nightmares?

My voice sounded hoarse and scratchy as it crawled up my throat. “Shh, don't speak,” Nathan whispered and moved to the foot of the bed. I shook my head. I wished more than anything that what I witnessed was not real. The visions of the night came back. The fight with the vampires, my brothers, Dimitri, the dead wolves, Sampson. I remembered the fear that traveled through my body as I was chased into the woods. I remembered seeing my brother through the smoke of a fire my best friend had set. And I remembered nearly mauling my brother to death.

Then I heard a high pitched scream that hurt my ears , I cover them but I can't but crying, I woke up screaming from the pain I felt in my ears , finally awake . I saw blood all over my hands reaching to my sleeves, I was terrified by the blood I stared at it as I felt what I am seeing ,the blood in my hands , my eyesight is hazy going right and left , I can't focus , that great headache I can't stop it , I touched my head I was moaning , I felt something wet yet warm poured down to my neck , I felt it was drenching from inside of my ears , suddenly the doors were slammed hard and i imagined a ghost of big man leaving my room , I was almost about to scream again , I though I was still asl

The most harrowing part is that I am unable to escape this torment, even in the safety of my dreams. Upon waking up, I am immediately confronted with a lingering sense of fear and anxiety that seems to follow me relentlessly throughout the day. It's as if the haunting presence of my nightmares refuses to let go, leaving me constantly on edge and hyperaware of my surroundings. Every creak and whisper sends me into a state of heightened alertness, bordering on paranoia. Trust becomes a luxury I can't afford, and I find myself unable to let my guard down even for a single moment.
