I'm not reading into things that aren't there. He chose Lizzy. That's all that matters. Another wave of pain crashes through me. I bite down on my fist to keep myself from crying out, tears streaming down my face. What is wrong with me? Why can't I just be normal? Why does this hurt like I'm dying? Maybe I am dying. Maybe heartbreak can actually kill you and no one talks about it because it sounds ridiculous. But it doesn't feel ridiculous. It feels real. Like my body is shutting down from the loss of something essential.

Natasha dashes out of the ice cream shop, a frantic look on her face. Her heart was beating so loud and so fast that she could feel the impact on her chest. She just lost two kids to God knows what and God knows who. What was she going to tell Mr. Grayson? ‘Oh, hi, I took your kids for ice cream but they got lost somehow. But don’t worry, I’m sure we will find them.’ He was going to fire her! She couldn’t afford to be fired. This was the only job she actually had a shot at and now, she was about to lose that too because of her fucking carelessness!

Heartbreak is a feeling that makes you want to rip your own heart out so your heart can’t feel the pain anymore. Almost everybody is going to go through it at least once. If you are able to avoid it your entire life, then consider yourself luxury. It can be either a breakup, a death, or any other real disappointment in life that is just too unbearable for the heart you have to handle.It leaves you with a ton of questions, depending on the root of the pain. You're wondering if you will ever be able to move on from that person who hurt you. The one that ripped your heart out. The one who you wanted so desperately even though you knew it wouldn’t work, and happiness from it would always be out

I once read in a magazine, while getting my hair done on a particular day several months ago, that it had been scientifically suggested and proven that heartbreak felt the same way that physical pain does. "A broken heart is a metaphor for the intense emotional stress or pain that one feels at experiencing a great loss or a great longing." the magazine had read, "Most people have experienced a broken heart, and there are multiple possible causes for it. But whether it comes from a break up with a significant other or the death of a loved one, heartbreak is never easy."

Heartbreak. Cerise didn't realize that's what she's feeling at this moment. Tears stream down her face. Her stomach in twists, head buzzing and ears ringing. Her heart hurts so much and she can't seem to find a way to stop it. She forgets everything else but the pain, falling into a desperate, depressive state.

The tears flowed freely, staining my cheeks with their salty remnants as my heart cried out in the silence of my apartment. I felt the ache deep within my chest, a searing pain that seemed to radiate through every fiber of my being. It was a heartbreak that went beyond the realm of lost love or shattered dreams. Their faces were a mixture of shock and surprise, never expecting to look up to find me watching them f**k. As I stood there, my eyes locked on their form, horror coursed through my veins. I couldn't tear my gaze away from the sight of Devin's naked body intertwined with that of the other woman. It was an image that seared into my mind, etching pain and betrayal deep into my heart. My heart felt like it was being ripped apart, each beat causing excruciating pain. A loud sob escaped my lips, the sound a raw manifestation of the fire burning in my chest, reducing me to ashes. Was this what heartbreak felt like? I never imagined it could be so agonizing.

I left the garden in a daze, my heart pounding violently against my chest like a drum signaling an incoming storm. Tears stung my eyes, and I didn’t bother wiping them as they streamed down my cheeks. By the time I reached my room, I could barely breathe. I collapsed onto my bed, hugging myself tightly as if that would somehow hold together the pieces of my breaking heart.

It had been almost a week since I miscarried, and he couldn't even be bothered to call me, yet he stopped by my ward because Sue caught a little cold. Sue walked in with a bouquet, saying it was for me, but when she saw the drawing on my bedside table, she totally lost it. "A drawing! It's a drawing!" She crouched down, covering her ears and crying her eyes out. "Zach, hurry! Burn it!" Zach was really worried about her and didn't even check what was in the drawing. He smashed the frame to the floor and flicked open his lighter. My anger boiled over. I yanked the IV needle out of my hand and lunged forward. I stepped on some glass shards, leaving small drops of blood behind me.
