CRAVING THE BAD BOY
The sound was sudden and sharp in the dark.
I looked down, but I couldn’t see the screen properly until it lit up. The glow from it was the only light in the room now, and it made everything around me feel even more unreal.
I opened the message. "It restarted."
Another one followed. "You didn’t finish the command."
My breath caught. "I didn’t say anything," I said. "It shut down before I could."
Sean spoke quickly. "Then it didn’t shut down," he said. "It reset."
