My face flushed and my heart started throbbing wildly. Damn this girl! Why did she have such an effect on me? “W…What are you going to do Hera?” The woman wearing the black dress questioned, eyeing her in horror. “I am just going to suck all your power and make you as weak as those fragile women you had kidnapped,” Hera’s words dripped with vehemence. She was about to hit them with the spell when I grabbed her arm.

She is too quick to fall victim to that. She swipes her tall and knocks one down, she claws another across the chest opening a gaping wound in their chest. All of a sudden the other two jump on her too. She is giggling like a feral wolf, her whole body is shaking. All I can do is watch from the back of our mind

I stared at Hera, my chest heaving, fists clenched tightly at my sides. Enough was enough. Crackling waves of energy sparked around my hands. “I said…” I growled through clenched teeth, my eyes blazing. “Let. Her. Go.” Hera chuckled, completely unfazed. “Such boldness,” she mused mockingly. “You carry the power of gods—power that even your mother never fully possessed.
