The next morning, when I went to their hotel to say goodbye before going back to the Manor, Hugo gave me a small wooden crate wrapped in a delicate white cloth. “If push comes to shove, and your Kujo can’t keep them at bay, you will need to seal the access doors to the building.” “Only the doors? Cause those buildings have a zillion windows, too. Not to mention half the roof is gone.” “Only the doors to access it from the outside, including those tunnels you told me about. You’ll find all you need to do it in this box, along with the specific prayer to achieve it.” He winked at me, smiling. “No dark entity will dare to mess with the kind of light you would summon.” He left the crate in my ha

Gosh this man here is trying to make me a confused human, how did I even end up here I thought to myself. "Few minutes ago. You saw me vomiting almost collapsed in your presence ROGERS!!" ALPHA TERROR

ALPHA TERROR

"You see the innocents; I see collateral damages." "No war is ever fought peacefully; there is always death." "War cleanses the land; it gets rid of the bad so that the good will rise." "Wiping out the shadow pack will cleanse the land and give rise to a new beginning." "I will be the hero that purges the land." I looked at him again. This is the first time I have heard something like this from him. I was shocked at what I heard. "Who are you, Stephan? I don't recognize you anymore."

Eternal Malediction

Eternal Malediction

But what is a god to truth incarnate? Kieran crawled back to the altar, his limbs trembling under the weight of what he had seen. The book still hovered in the air, its pages yawning open like a wound in the fabric of reality. Symbols split across them in spirals and ratios, bleeding into one another, whispering truths that no human mind was meant to hold. He ripped out a bit of a page and pulled out a pen from his pocket and wrote, “You’re not supposed to be here.” The cathedral began to pulse again, as if reacting to his defiance. The entity leaned closer, its presence folding the space around him like paper.

the dark hedges on either side "They were watching tonight too," Lysander said. She didn't answer. She walked back toward the academy with the wind at her back and everything moving through her Mira Chen and the binding chamber and the fourth section and seventh and the shape of a twelve-hundred-year-old law that someone had broken open and someone else had been quietly trying to restore and the pieces had stopped being separate. They were one thing now. A single shape with a single question at its center. Who had sat at that table four years ago with Level Four access and decided that a clause protecting human students was dangerous enough to remove?

Fate's Pawn: Four Horsemen

Fate's Pawn: Four Horsemen

"What do you mean?" "Just what I said. I heard Dagon myself, all of his brothers are after her, and once he discovers her, so will their father." A silence settled over the group. It was broken by Holly. "I really hate being talked about like I don't exist. Can you please explain what's going on? The Four Horsemen herald the end of the world, don't they? Why would they want anything to do with me?" "Your soul," Lachesis answered. "Holly, you're you, but your soul has lived many lifetimes now. It makes you a target to those that devour souls."

Aegis of the Immortal: Blood Blessed

Aegis of the Immortal: Blood Blessed

He paused, allowing his words settle, and preparing his rebuttal for the coming refusal when Shrowl surprised him with a nod. "We've waged war beyond the border," he continued, hoping he had not faltered, "but in the last two months, the realms soldiers have told of men who would not fall when cut. Men who showed no pain when struck and do not cry out when impaled. Enemies who are simply determined on moving forward and cutting all in their path, leaving only when the battle has run its course. Before I was lost, I fought one of these men alongside the priestess. He possessed a strength greater than any blessed I have encountered, over two dozen arrows did nothing to suppress him, and he con

Earth Has Fallen

Earth Has Fallen

As we soon started to call them, the chimeras came too fast, too unexpected, and too strong. Barely having time for a counterattack, their attacks spread all over the Earth. Appearing all over, some in cities, some in the counties, and a few even in the middle of the ocean, they move fast and within only a few months, entire nations are reduced to nothing more than burning trash.

CHAOS

Tristan said under his breathe with a huff. Lord Kys pulled out a bejeweled weapon from beneath his cloak and handed it to Trix. One jewel shone bright and reminded her off the one within her pocket. She gripped the hilt and attempted to open it but Lord Kys placed his hands over hers and shook his head. “Not here,” he whispered. “And for you young edor,” he said to Tristan, who stiffened comically. Trix’s eyes widened then narrowed. What was an edor? Was that his name? It was most definitely an odd one.

Tova's Four Kingdoms

Tova's Four Kingdoms

I spoke loud, partly to control the shaking in my voice, and partly because I wanted all to hear what I had to say. “Men and Women of Oremgoth. I am speaking to you now as a sister from Nidavelle and as your High Queen. Hear my words. Oremgoth is a realm that is made up of four specific kingdoms. Because of location, each of these kingdoms has a specific gift that is from nature, herself.”

I Absolutely Love this book!!! Has become one of my favourites! Love the characters especially the female lead and the details the author wrote on how things were made and what from. The flow of the book was great and I could hardly put the book down! Really worth reading!

Wow, what a book! Couldn't stop reading! So well written, around every corner something is happening. I never read book like this. I usually can predict what will happen in some situations, but this plot is so well written it kept mi on my toes till the end!

The Imperium's 'throneworld' is probably its own worst enemy. Decades of grinding institutional rot make every administrative error a potential disaster—look at the logistical collapse during the War of the Beast, where Terra nearly starved because someone misfiled a parchment. Then there's the physical degradation: the Golden Throne is failing, the Astronomican flickers, and the entire planet is a layered fortress of crumbling tech no one understands anymore. Internal threats scare me more than external ones sometimes.

Sure, Chaos sieges and Tyranid hive fleets are the obvious answers, but the real danger is that the heart of the empire has forgotten how to beat. It's a corpse kept moving by faith and fear, and when those run out, the whole edifice collapses. Even the Custodes can't fix a theological bureaucracy that's actively strangling itself.
