Alka and Iko finally get back to their home. They live in the same neigborhood and since Alka only live with his mother, his house became their basecamp. Alka's house have 2 floors and the biggest at the neighborhood. There are 7 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. Two bedrooms for his mother and his own room, one room was renovated for his studio, one room modified for laundry room, and the rest of the rooms used for the guests who wanted to stay over. Iko usually using one of the guest rooms when they're working late at night.

The safe house was a squat brick building on the far south side of Chicago, tucked behind a shuttered auto-body shop and a row of overgrown lots. No sign. No mailbox. Just a rusted side door Mara unlocked with a key she wore on a chain around her neck. Inside smelled of old coffee and cedar oil someone had tried to make it livable. Solar panels on the flat roof fed a bank of batteries in the corner. Thick blackout curtains over every window. A single landline bolted to the wall, no internet, no Wi-Fi. Off-grid in the truest sense.

All I see are beautiful evergreen trees and a few cherry trees, bushes, and tall green grass. We didn’t bother to cut the grass since we owned such a big plot of land. He appears beside me in my peripheral vision smoking a cigarette. I glare at him again. “ What, it’s not like I’ll die of lung cancer, “ he said pulling the cig out of his mouth. Cassi asked shyly making me laugh slightly, I grabbed the bag with frozen goods moving over to the refrigerator emptying them into the freezer. "What's the biggest lie you've ever told me?" Jason asked randomly and I smiled thinking it over, it wasn't a regular thing for us to lie to each other, since our relationship had to be built on transparency to eliminate jealously between us as well as form trust an- "That her office is sound proof," Cassi replied amused and I smiled. "It isn't?" He asked as I stood up closing the freezer. "The office isn't but the hallway leading to the office is," I clarified and he shook his head amused.

I then turned and noticed the house was three stories. Jarren led me over to the door and opened it. Inside, there was a swimming pool as well as a built-in hot tub. There was a wall separating another room that had a sliding door. We walked in, and there was a plasma TV, couches, and a fridge. This was definitely Jarren’s “man cave.” I made my way back outside and sat at one of the tables. Jarren sat across from me as I looked around at everything again. “Do you like it?” he questioned after a moment.

My headstrong bravery I had fell as the cruel reality of Grandmama hit me. Grandmama started up the stairs to the left and I followed. She walked up to the fifth floor gradually, with her black dress dragging along the stairs behind her. All the doors were wooden with golden handles, and the walls were made of plaster. The ground was made by wooden floor boards, and the ceiling was made of some black material. I could tell she was wearing high heels from the "clunks" they made every time she stepped. The hallways were long and had many turns. It could almost be considered a maze.

Adara nodded as she stood up. We pulled up to the garage and parked next to Malachi’s car. I looked up at the house, it was huge and reminded me of the houses we had seen near the Country Club. “We live here?” I asked James and he smiled. “You live here,” he said and I felt very out of place. “Damn man, this is your house?” Josh asked and whistled again. I think we both felt intimidated. We followed James inside the garage and I looked at the Silver Navigator parked there. It was a beautiful car.

Alex asked as he and Amanda looked at the one story building before them. She looked at him. "I dunno, somewhere in Mexico," she replied and began walking up the stairs. Alex shrugged and followed her. They arrived at the door and stared at it, doing nothing. Alex looked at Amanda, she had her hand hovering over the doorbell but not pressing it. "Are you ok?" He asked concerned. Amanda nodded her head, she took in a deep breath, held it in for awhile and let it out.. "Yes, yes I am." She pressed the bell and waited.
