Alex argued. Vincent pressed his lips together to hold back a smile. He could see that Alex's face was already as red as a cooked crab. "Lying to yourself and others is not a good thing, Mr. Knight." Vincent handed Alex a file, and Alex accepted it with a grunt of annoyance. "Don't try to advise me!" Afraid of being fired, Vincent decided not to upset his boss any more. "These are Mrs. Emma Jhonson's medical records," Vincent said as Alex began to open the file.

They studied his anatomy first. Alex Knight sits in the dark, phone glowing in his palm. On screen: a live feed of his penthouse. Anna curls into the couch, knees to chest. **Alexander’s POV** The corner office still smelled faintly of Chloe’s vanilla candle even though she hadn’t set foot in it for three weeks. My wolf was practically dancing with smug satisfaction. Told you. Right. Mate. “Shut up,” I hissed under my breath, earning a strange look from another new hire. I grabbed a cup of coffee I didn't want and found a seat at the back of the room. Maybe I could slip out before he arrived. The rational part of my brain reminded me about this was my dream job. The part that had spent the night in Christian Knight's bed was having a complete meltdown.

Isabella stepped into the elevator,When the elevator doors closed, Isabella finally exhaled. She caught her reflection in the mirrored wall. Hollow cheeks. Big eyes. Lips bitten raw. I tell him I grab Alexis and pull her out of there. When we get back to the car she drives to Axel and Austin's office and we all go in. Alexis POV I sigh and continue into the building. The guard nods at me and I nod back and take the elevator to the very top. When the doors open every jumps out yelling surpirse. I smile and make my rounds hugging everyone. "Thank you everyone. I can't wait to be working with you all." I say smiling

Something is really fishy. The elevator made a "ding" sound as I slowly stepped inside the ninth floor. I stared in awe as I look at the elegant and elaborate gold and black interior design. It looks so expensive. Maybe more expensive than the president's room. Ms. Kase Wolfgang, the assistant, was not at her desk so I just quietly put the paper down on her table. Her desk was located in front of the CEO's room. Now, let the mission begins! I slowly turned as my heart pounded heavily. This is it! Now I can confirm if our CEO's bald or not!

“Former Mrs. Knight. Current mother of three. Put me on air. Now. Or I call Bloomberg.” _Hold music. 10 seconds._ Then: “You’re live with CNBC Squawk Box, Mrs. Knight.” _Deep breath. 142 BPM.
