Syanna knew instantly that he wasn’t a threat, but he did scare the living shit out of her. “Sorry,” he mumbled with a chuckle. “You get so used to sneaking up on people around here, because everyone has heightened senses.” Syanna forced a smile as she gathered the books that had fallen from her. “Well, I’m just a little human. No heightened hearing, smelling, seeing or speed.” “Gotcha.” He beamed at her. “I’m Isaac, by the way.” “Syanna.” “Oh, I know,” Isaac said. “Your name is all around campus, especially with the vampires. People find you as a threat. I, for one, want to be on your good side so when the real you is unleashed, I’ll be safe.”

He was out on bail within a few hours thanks to his mafia friend, but the pictures and videos of that incident spread in the university like wildfire, and he was called the deadly fighter.

Isaac kept calling out to Ray via the walkie-talkie. By the time his voice was hoarse, he finally heard Ray's response. At that moment, he felt like he could cry from relief.
