I narrowed my eyes at the little girl now gazing up at me with those innocent-looking yet deceitful eyes.
“It’s nice to finally meet you in person, Mister,” she grinned, a wry look hiding behind that gaze of hers.

“I wouldn’t exactly say the same,” I pointed out, stretching my hands out hoping that would give away the obvious circumstances.
She smiled and the next second, her face went blank to dead serious.
“You shouldn’t be here, hybrid,”
I raised one of my brows, urging her to continue her little talk.
“Our master, no, our alpha, as you like to call it, kills hybrids in plain sight,” she said in a slight monotone voice.
