The kind of satisfied that sits on a person’s face when they’ve been replaying a good memory. He looks up at the sound of my footsteps and the ease drops out of his face. “Russo.” He straightens. Pockets his phone. “The fuck do you want.”

"Cal? He's not that young is he?" Jasper chuckles. "Everyone's young to me." Suddenly, he sets me down. Stretching, I look through the trees. I can see the lights of Grayson's house close by. How did time pass so quickly? "Even Kaden?" This time, Jasper laughs aloud. "Kaden's great, great..." He pauses. "Great, great grandparents didn't even exist when I killed by father." Startled, I look up to meet his gaze. "Remember, I'm not really alive."

Valerie’s long-time rival in the behind-the-scenes fashion war. Standing next to Valerie, they looked like a storm waiting for ignition. “Didn’t think I’d see you here, Sinclair,” Jace drawled, voice smooth like a record that never scratched. “Not your usual scene.” Valerie didn’t bother looking at him. “Try not to assume you know my scenes.” Jace smiled at Luna instead, offering his hand. “Jace Serrano. I’ve heard of you, obviously, but that performance, that was a resurrection.”

There was no way that Jace Storme was staring at me. Jace Storme was the hottest guy in the world and possibly the entire universe. His eyes, once brimming with confidence and arrogance, are now sunken and haunted. In this moment, he’s not the Jace Adkins I know—the bold, self-assured man—but a lost little boy, burdened by the pain of visiting the graves of parents who were stolen from him.

His real name, Ace Willow, came to light to everyone's shock, and he was in fact not from the States but from a remote village in London. Through the orchestrated accident alongside the road which was a blindspot, the real Jace was killed and secretly buried, while the fake Jace took his position at the accident scene with a few added sets to make the show complete. The car caught fire and blew up right on the spot, but the fake Jace was already miles away from it while pretending to struggle for life, after injecting some kind of drug into his bloodstream to activate his hormones.

Jace said, a mischievous smile on his face. My eyebrows furrowed until I stepped out of the car. I could've screamed, but with a name like Alpha Superior Adam Deveraux, I should've guessed it. He lives in a damn castle.

He said, and I could not believe my luck. "Thank you." I said and sat on the passenger seat. As I watched us leave Redcape behind, my heart filled with joy. I never imagined that I would leave that place alive. I closed my eyes and thanked the goddess for what she had done for me. Hopefully, this will be the last of it. "I am Ebenezer Jenkins. What's your name?" He asked, and I knew I could not tell him my real name. "Annika Petrov," I said, and he smiled.

She quickly copied the answers too, eyes wide. The professor called time. As we turned in the papers, I sat back down, my heart still beating fast. Why would Cassian help me? He didn’t seem like the type to help anyone. Especially not someone like me. But I couldn’t ask him. Not here. That’s when it happened. The classroom door slammed open. I turned. And time stopped. Jace. My heart dropped into my stomach. Tall. Confident. Messy black hair. Sharp green eyes. A smirk playing on his lips like he owned the world.

” Without waiting for her comment or protest, Jace placed a gentle kiss on her head—storming out of the room in a flash. If there was one thing Jace Stark wasn’t—it was refusing to give up. Once he wants something, he goes for it, and Raven was a big challenge. A challenge he was ready to win. ***^**** Jace is my favorite character *Smirks*. Just realized I can use an emoji Oops. Lol
