As I pass the stairs, I look up, but there is no sign of Ryan. I take a seat at the table, passing a box of tissues to Mrs. Miller. She smiles a thank you at me and Mr. Miller brings over a cup of coffee and some milk. I doctor my coffee and try not to freak out as Mr. Miller sits down. “Ryan had another episode last night,” Mr. Miller says, looking into his coffee cup. “Jake came in to check on her. He couldn’t wake her up and she lashed out at him, thinking he was Tommy. She scratched him up pretty bad and he’s got a black eye.”

He shook his head and replied in a strained voice, “No… never.” Jack furrowed his eyebrows. He didn’t expect Ryan to be so resilient. As a chilli lover himself, not even he could eat the whole raw chilli and endure twenty minutes without drinking any water to wash it down. “Ryan, you don’t need to force yourself… just give up and I’ll help you feel better,” Jack remarked, narrowing his eyes at Ryan. However, Ryan shook his head. By now, his eyes were bloodshot and his lips were red and swollen. He stared at Jack and stated, “I agreed to take this test… and I’ll pass by all means if it means you would forgive me.”

Jess shouted to him too, this was enough for Ryan to walk over. “Is everything okay” he asked, “ yeah I’m okay” replied to Ryan, “ yeah she is fine” this man replied then squeezing my ass, I turned to look at him “ hey” I shouted and before anything else was said Ryan grabbed the man by the neck, then pushed him to the wall, and lift him up.

"I want to know who killed those people as much as you do, Riley. You've got to believe me." I sat down on the couch beside him. "You're saying you didn't kill them?" "Probably said it a million times since yesterday." "Jackson—" "Call me Jack." He insisted. I gave a nod. "Jack, how about you pretend to be in my shoes for a minute? Imagine if you were kidnapped by a psychopath and you heard all the news about him on tv, all the atrocious crimes he committed, wouldn't you be having doubts as well?" He grinned. "I'd be thinking goddamn he's hot and I'd want to bang that psychopath one of these nights."

If Stephen was missing, Rylan would know. His car wasn’t there. Maybe he didn’t have class today. I sighed, disappointed. Just as I turned to leave, a red Lenovo pulled into the lot.
