A whisper in my gut. Something was off. “You’ve been quiet.” I turned. One of the maids, Mira, stood behind me. A gentle soul. Always polite, always watching. Knew that she was not always pure. She was Lysandra's personal maid and though I wanted to fire her at first, I did not have a reason to do so.

Kade cut me off. I couldn’t even speak. Morgan was probably about to run out of here, screaming her fucking head off. Any second now. “Okay.” WHAT?! “Why did you say, Morgan?” I asked. “I said okay. I’ve seen Twilight, and you know how I felt about Jacob. There’s no fucking way these four guys could be anything but werewolves. They’re too big and muscular and downright sexy as hell. So … okay.” She looked back at Kade and gave him a sly grin. “Kade, Beta of the Blue Moon pack and my supposed mate, let’s do this thing.”

Catherine took a deep breath to calm herself. "Catherine, I'm sorry, but..." Tatiane reached out and put her hand on top of her colleague's fist. Her tone of voice was calm. "Is there anything else? In the past, I mean, something you would like to tell someone? I know we only met a day ago, and sometimes these things are very personal, but talking to someone who doesn't know your past can be good. I promise not to pass on what you tell me here, even because it won't add anything to me. Just a friend to vent to. Your anger is genuine, but my intuition tells me there's something more."

“Speak and your end might be easier for you.” “The blue-blooded hybrid does not jest. Jade muttered under her breath, her sharp tone slicing through the room. “Careful,” a voice chimed from behind her. “You know if anyone hears you talking like that, they’ll report it to your father.” Jade turned to face Sophia, her 17-year-old handmaid and best friend. Sophia was an omega, assigned to Jade when she was twelve. The girl’s sweet demeanor and unwavering loyalty had made her more than just a servant. Susie’s soft brown hair was tied back in a braid, and her honey-colored eyes were wide with concern as she set a tray of breakfast on the table.

MARIA'S POV. The next morning came quickly. And for the first time in years, I slept like a child who had no reason to worry. I.was finally going to get my revenge on Allen. I walked down the marble stairs with my hand on the railing. The house was quiet. For a moment I felt like I was the only person alive. Adam was a busy woman. Unlike me who stayed in the shadows, Adam liked the spotlight— everything was to help me anyway.

He asks looking at his phone. "It starts at two. There's spaghetti in the microwave." I say before taking a sip of the red goodness. Jayden didn't return since he left and it's now midday. I had just been informed that a Yoga instructor, Jade Cloud, seems to work for the spiders. She was a CPA but retired a month after she was contacted by a mysterious group of people. "Yoga." Jayden states making me look up to find him in the same spot. I smirk. "Yeah. Where I'll be wearing these pants that make my ass look bigger and bend slowl..."

“You still haven’t given me her name or what she looks like.” “Appearances can be deceiving. Changing is futile, a waste of time. As for a name, it means nothing too. She said her name was Jade. No last name. So, who knows. I can’t tell you a race or age. Nor a race. It’s a terrific way to pass information without revealing anything about yourself. Unless you’re an expert spy and know how to hunt and track in a Dream Realm that’s stable. You can’t know the source or validity of the information. You could be speaking to the enemy and being given false information that will get you killed.”

Jade swaggered in, took a seat in front of Lloyd, and looked at him with a cold smirk. "I'm here to tell you that you won't win this lawsuit." Lloyd gritted his teeth, glaring at her. She was just a woman he didn't take seriously, yet he had repeatedly fallen into her traps. It wasn't that he wasn't cautious enough, it was just that Jade was incredibly cunning. It seemed like she was born to thwart him, knowing all his weaknesses and exploiting them every time they clashed.

It’s so hot here and the sun has no clouds to hide behind, just clear blue skies and sun. We’re definitely getting that sun kissed skin for the wedding which is Sierra's reason for coming for so long. We’ve taken so many pictures together and even more selfies. I Sent one to my mom to show her my tan line and she called me to say how jealous she was. I love my mom. I wish she could’ve come, I wish she could help me out of this situation with Dwayne. But I hate to involve her. I ran back into the water and jumped on Aurora's back ruining her selfie.
