Lea: I frowned when I saw that we weren’t going to the restaurant. “Diego…” “We are going somewhere, as for work, I already sent a message to James that I am sick and that you’re with me.” He said, pulling his phone out of his pocket as he stopped the car in front of a traffic light. The fact that he was driving to begin with was something that I didn’t like. I knew that he wasn’t supposed to be exhausting it, but the man refused to listen, and though I understood that his reason was for me; I couldn’t help but find it sweet.

Valerie: Morning sunlight spilled across the terrace, warm and soft against my skin as I stepped outside. The breeze carried the faint scent of pine and fresh earth, the quiet hum of the pack grounds far below. Everything felt calmer now, steadier, like the world had finally exhaled after months of choking tension. “Val.” I turned. Xavier stood in the doorway, dressed in a dark shirt with the sleeves rolled to his forearms. His eyes, those steady storm-blue eyes, held something different today. A warmth. A nervousness. A spark I hadn’t seen since the very beginning.

Yaslyn had heard much about Xoan's friend. Known to be a lawyer, Jay was refined. His handsome features, comparable to Marcus's, were further accentuated by a pronounced nose, and his gold-rimmed glasses gave him an intellectual demeanor. Still, he was not quite Yaslyn's cup of tea. However, Jay's composed image wavered when he spoke. "Xoan," he said, his voice quivering and eyes misty, "I feel like I'm being shortchanged in this play." Clearly, they had misread him.

His tone changed instantly, from confident to cautious. “H-hello Mr Carlos ?” he said, trying to sound composed, but his voice carried a tremor. “I see you’re having fun,” Carlos said said slowly. “You’ve forgotten everything, haven’t you?” Xavier froze. Sweat began to form along his hairline. “No, no,” he stammered. “How can I forget, Mr. Carlos? I would never forget. You’re… you’re always my priority.” “Good,” Carlos said simply. “Then prove it.”

He smiled. "Harrison. What a coincidence, dad was telling me to go for a Youth Summer Theme launch of Harrison lodges." Carlos laughed. "Oh yeah! We are launching that." He casually said. "Wait! No. It's not possible." Carlos panicked. "What's not possible?" I asked her. "Harrison Lodges and he is Reyansh Harrison." Carlos tried to make me understand. "Yes! I am their third generation." He chuckled. Everything started making sense. "Friends." He extended his hand towards us.

He looked familiar as well. “You must be Leah.” He smiled, as I stood to attention in front of the sofa. He outstretched his hand as I looked at him confused. “Oh, apologies, where are my manners. I am Jack Carter, Logans father.” I let out a sigh of relief and accepted his hand, shaking it. “Logan is at the office at the moment.” I explained. “I know, I actually came here to see you.” I tilted my head intrigued. “Have you seen the news?”

Their bodies and sat upright. "I won't tell them that you chose a pink high top sneakers then just so you could wear matching pairs of shoes with Nailah on the moon goddess day." Carlos was done talking before Tyler could protest or cut him off and we were all laughing again. Carlos turned out to be as carefree and jovial as Tyler, he gave us our respect yet he played and joked like we had known for ages. I figured he must have acquainted himself more with Axle and Dante while I was away then.

Joseph told Carlos. "You all should know that Carlos and I, we go way back because he is a business colleague not until my business went bankrupt but Carlos's business is doing so great," Joseph told them as they all cheered for him. "Welcome to the club, men!" Michael said, taking Carlos's hand for another handshake. "Wait, wait, you do drugs right?" Micheal asked with a weird chuckle but Carlos gave a fake smile and a wiggle to indicate no.

Was it his kindness, or was it the Alpha's glare shooting daggers in my direction behind the man? "You're welcome." He smiled. "Harrison Cage. That's my name. What's yours?" "Scarlett." I added. "Scarlett De Luca." "Cage." Alpha Jax's voice seemed ominous for a second as Harrison's eyes went back and forth between us. "Pardon me." He replied. "I'll see you some other time, Scarlett." He said as he went back to the Alpha's side. As they exited, Alpha Jax turned back with eyes full of fire, enough for me to burn to the ground.
