Blood Roses
They moved as one toward the bed, falling into it like gravity demanded it.
Her shirt came off first, tossed to the floor. Then his. Skin met skin, a fire catching in their blood.
“I’ve wanted you since the first time I saw you,” he groaned against her neck.
“I know,” she gasped, her fingers curling in his hair.
The world narrowed to touch, taste, sensation, until everything else, even danger, ceased to exist.
And then….
A bang.
The bedroom door flew open.
Inés scrambled upright, clutching the sheet.
