Shawn nodded, trying not to break eye contact. Jade sighed and looked down at her fingers. “We weren't involved in an accident. We were kidnapped. He was a psychopath. He killed my mother. Gave her cuts all over her body and let her bleed. She died in my arms. Slowly and painfully. I was tortured and... And... R***d. Then I was locked up in that dark place, cold, hungry, and afraid. And every day I prayed for death. But it didn't come. Neither did help.” Jade paused as the words stuck in her throat. The tears were forcing their way down her cheeks as she wiped them off.

“Jayce, Brandon is right. You’re a stranger to them.” “I know that too, but I still can’t leave you alone.” “Rachel,” Both Brandon and Jayce groaned at the same time. “Wait you guys,” Jane interrupted. “Rachel, do you trust Jayce,” Questioned Jane. “I do” “And we trust you, just don’t break our trust,” Jane said, looking at Jayce. “You can stay only because of the trust I have in Rachel,” “I’ll never break your trust in Rachel,” Jayce nodded at Jane's words.

Despite her numerous attempts to find her mother after she grew up, Joanna’s father would stop all such attempts. Later on, she applied to study at Southrive University and succeeded, where she later came to befriend Samantha. After graduating, Joanna established Bailar and was initially planning on focusing all her efforts on developing it when she suddenly received a phone call. This call was made by her mother’s caretaker from abroad, giving Joanna some bad news about how gravely ill her mother was and how she wanted to meet her daughter one last time. Without any hesitation, she left Bailar that very day after bidding her farewell to Samantha.

As if time moves faster for the world but slower for me. I still think about her. Wonder if she’s okay. Wonder if she ever thinks about me. Joanna’s in L.A. now. Her father placed her in charge of a mini cosmetic brand they own out there. I heard it’s doing well—of course it is. Joanna always had that golden touch. No matter how broken she feels inside, she shows up and gets the job done. That’s one thing I always admired about her.

She could not longer call it a home as it had only being bringing misery to her for the past years. Joanna stealthily jumped and immediately cling unto the metal bar potruding out of the building beneath the second floor. Sweat dripped down her forehead as she stared at the void and dark surrounding beneath her. Joanna was about giving up when she suddenly felt her eyesight sharpen. Immediately, like a leopard, she sucessfully climbed down the building while holding the railings. Now standing in the dark, Joanna was at a loss for what to do. Her feet began carrying her towards the path in a forest.

"You, me, Jesse, Lennox, the rest of them… and Sean." Her cheeks flushed pink when she mentioned Sean, casting a shy glance at Jayla. Jayla noticed and merely curled her lips into a small, unreadable smile. "You're coming, right?" Joanna's main reason for visiting today was to invite Jayla. Among their group back then, most were guys. Only she, Jayla, and Adelaide Beaver were women. Adelaide had more or less disappeared over the years, so Joanna had thought of Jayla instead and came looking for her. Jayla, of course, could see through Joanna's intentions. Officially, it was a dinner to welcome Edgard home, but in reality, Joanna just wanted an excuse to see Sean.

“Don’t mind her. She’s not important.” “What am I supposed to know?” I asked peremptorily since I realized that she was trying to evade details. Joanna went behind my back, in view of Candice to get her attention, shaking her head and hands to stop her from giving me information about the brunette with amber eyes. “She’s Jaimilee. Hudson’s ex-girlfriend.” Candice explained but caught onto Joana’s directive too late to stop herself. “Oops.” Joana sighed, thinking that I would create a scene. Not that anyone could stop me.
