Lifting his head, Justin saw the man whose appearance was as striking as ever even among the crowd. Klaus looked like royalty while wearing an expensive tailor made suit. He had an air of grandiose that made everybody seem diminished in comparison. With a mysterious gaze in his emerald eyes, he looked like a prince that was depicted in classical paintings. As soon as he arrived, he was surrounded by the male guests, so Justin couldn't even get close to him. When he finally managed to catch a glimpse of Klaus's face from afar, he immediately recognized the latter as the international student who enrolled through the STHEE program, whom he saw eating at the hawker stall with Luna.

I waited, patiently, staring at my prey as she agonized in pain. “He promised us safety in exchange for our loyalty. Viktor was already getting ready to be Alpha, but Esteban set a last test for him” Claire said, curling her toes as she bled. I waited, listening intently despite already having an idea of what she was going to say. Esteban and I were old, very old, enemies who have been going on and on with a bunch of fights.

He says eventually, noises behind him reveal the blonde girl that Flame was arguing with earlier. “Oh please be Darius’ friend.” She grins, pushing the boy out of the way and extending her hand. “I’m Gale. Gale Winters.” “Cain Harden.” I shake her hand quickly before dropping it and turning to the boy again, attempting to be pleasant when I just want him to get the fuck out of my way. “Darius told me we were going Tree Surfing.”

I hope I at least get one reaction from the one person I wanted. Kia is all excited about being at school, bouncing around happily. She’s excited to see Zander's reaction. We both spin around to see what’s wrong only to find Bobby Enderson wrapping his hands around her, bringing her into a deep kiss.

"You have nothing to worry about," The dark king spoke up as he stood outside the cell, "Klaus here is a human doctor that took part in creating the pathogen that brought about the plague. All He will do is examine your body and check if you are still sick."

I said. Kael’s grip tightened on his blade. “Let them try.” “Easy for you to say.” “Is it?” I didn’t answer. Because suddenly— They stopped moving. All at once. The forest went still. Completely still. Even the wind died. Then— He stepped out. From the shadows. Slow. Deliberate. Not like the others. Not feral. Not broken. Controlled. Dangerous. My breath caught. He wasn’t like the rogues from before.

Owen Greystone’s POV Late into the night, I sat at my desk, drowning in the paperwork that had accumulated throughout the day. Klaus, my Beta, had long since fallen asleep in the corner, his body finally succumbing to exhaustion. I had told him to rest, but I couldn’t bring myself to stop. Lately, the pressure had been overwhelming, and Klaus, who had spent the day tirelessly recruiting soldiers, deserved his break. Now, it was my turn to face the mountain of paperwork. I couldn’t help but appreciate Klaus’s dedication. Having him as my Beta was a blessing; there truly wasn’t anyone more dedicated than him.
