I run towards the truck and slam my body into the rouge that was clawing at the passenger side. Both our bodies go flying with my momentum. I barely have time to get off the ground before the rouge slashes my arm with his claws. I grab my arm as I feel the searing pain and blood. I grunt and crack my neck getting back into my fighting stance. The rouge claws at me again, but I dodge in time. I look up to see if Greg was able to get Gabby and Lizzy back to safety, and the rouge took my distraction to its advantage.

It was cracking slowly as Rogue broke off the chains on her wrists as though it was nothing. I felt an overwhelming pressure to stay on my knees until I felt her soft cold hands on my cheeks that raised my head and left me lost in her eyes. “How did you…” “Shhh…” Rogue placed her thumb on my lips. They both again come running, but this time I am prepared. I make a move that gets me down on the ground, kicking one of them away, making the other one jump which gives me a chance to rib open his ribcage with my claws and grab his hea

He starts shifting, when another Rogue grabs a leg and tears it from his body in one quick motion. “STOP!” “We kill him.” “I need to know where my uncle is first. I promised my father.” “I can show you.” The female Rogue’s voice is in my head, “But you will need to shift.” Knox was still screaming on the ground. “Shut him up.” A Rogue slams their fist into Knox’s mouth, making his head bounce on the tarmac. Deep red pooled under his head, he wasn’t dead, but at least he was quiet. The female Rogue touches me and causes some sort of shock, she pulls her hand away as quickly as I do.

Clarence recalled. “He kissed me,” I said, my voice trembling. “So what? Just punch him and move on. I know he’s friends with the Luna, but that doesn’t give him a hall pass to kiss anyone who doesn’t want it,” Clarence spat, his protective instincts kicking in. “I did slap him,” I replied, angry and embarrassed. “But… Clarence… it’s more complicated than that.” I pinched the bridge of my nose, trying to alleviate the tension building in my temples.

Something in my brain short-circuited. Don’t ask me what happened, I don’t have a clue. All I know is that suddenly I smashed my lips against his. There really was something insanely distracting about kissing someone with a pierced tongue. He didn’t push me away.
