Geneveive Tessa Robert Kyle’s home reminded me of our memories. Every step I took reminded me of a particular event we shared. I paused in the doorway, looking at the photos on the wall. They were the pictures of the kids, Kyle and me, at the Christmas dinner at my parents home. I didn’t know he collected a copy from James. Nice surprise. I walked into the living room. The interiors had changed, and I noticed a few of Dahila’s touches. She had a thing for plastic and real flowers. I ran my hands through the rich texture of the couches and settled on one. Kyle was still living the CEO’s life.

“She made me. And I, in turn, have made others. A whole army, in fact.” Aidan began shaking his head, a look of grief etching across his face. “And,” Kyle continued, “I intend to unleash my army on the world pretty soon. You see, I’m not well known for my patience. And if I don’t find Scarlet Paine soon, I’m going to tell my army to start feasting. We’ll kill every human we come across until we find the girl. So, why don’t you save some souls, prof? Why don’t you just tell me where she is?”

He wasn't a fashion fiend, a player, or even the ladies' dream boat. He was just... Kyle. And here Kyle lay, a shattered brain one step of being asylum worthy. Terrell shook his head. “It's interesting. We didn't even mind tap him. I'm really curious what the Lunas were doing in that room now. I've never seen anything like it.” Jason nodded. His mind was tracing back the steps into the grande hall, and then again into the side library room where the main paintings hung. He remembered Kyle screaming, as if his mind itself was under attack by a swarm of bees that had fought him off from their nest.

I didn't have evidence of anything, but I never doubted my guts. “You sure?” Kyle asked. I shook my head. “No. That’s the problem. He’s too careful. But something about him rubs me wrong. I can't really define it yet. He's a little just too perfect.” Kyle reached into his coat and pulled out a flash drive. “You’ll want to see this.” We headed into my private chamber adjoining the council hall. Kyle plugged the flash drive into a console and the large screen flickered to life. It was footage from the fundraiser. There were numerous clips from various angles, timestamps in the corner.

“I was so young. But I think… I did it for Keith. He was really sick, and I just thought maybe I could help him feel better.” His words hit me like a wave. If Kyle created that formula, then at some point, it must’ve worked. But she had taken it, twisted it, and turned it into a weapon. Used it on children. “So if I hadn’t come up with it…” Kyle continued, his voice cracking, “then maybe those kids wouldn’t have died. Maybe you wouldn’t have those memories. Maybe DK wouldn’t exist. Maybe none of this would’ve happened.” His words shattered something inside me. I moved to sit beside him on the floor and gently ran my hand along his back.

The hell? How was Kyle still hard?!

The guard's voice drifted into my ears making me remove my hands from my eyes to see who he was talking to. "Huh?" I froze seeing the figure in my front, it was Alpha Kyle, the last person I had expected to be here. Was he here to make things hard for me again? I just couldn't understand what was going on and could only stare blankly. "What do you think you are doing?" Alpha Kyle growled as he stared at me. "Kneel!" Immediately, I felt an invisible pressure pressing down on me forcing me to my knees. Even though he was staring directly at me, I didn't dare to look straight into his eyes. I knew I might be whipped again if I did that. So to prevent such from happening, I had to avoid looking

Kyle laughed "You are one hell of a woman, boss. I do have a few ideas how to take her down at her work. Let me look into the company and see how long it will take to put a plan in action. I also have a way to almost guarantee we destroy her humble and respected reputation. " Kyle told me all of his ideas. I loved them. I do not think I could have come up with anything better. As for Shelly and Dede, Kyle was going to do some massive digging and find all of their buried skeletons. If you think things have been crazy so far you have not seen anything yet!

Kyle was puzzled and turned to look at Drake furiously, "Good thing? How is it a good thing? I have a problem with my life, you know better than anyone and you think it's good and wise for me to accept this." Drake was adamant with his opinion, "Regardless, you still need her. She is your antidote. What are you purposely afraid of, huh? What exactly it is that makes you doubt yourself?" Kyle pointed at himself as he started explaining, "I have every reason to doubt myself, Drake. I can't give her what she wants, don't you understand? I have always been withdrawn and cold to myself and everyone else. I can't please her and I have no idea how...how all these things work. She will probably be d
