I blurted, my heart plummeting. I thought I knew what it was, but deep down, I so wished I was wrong. "Er. you know, the ceremony or bonding between the Luna and her Alpha," Elder Marbel said, half-heartedly as if she'd just discovered a damp sock in her wash.

Even though the fight was still going between the two alphas, Eleanor had not stopped speaking, she was still trying to convince Aria to come with them for her protection. Behind her, Lance hit the ground. Right now, he didn’t even have the mental capacity to think, much less speak. His rage was only focused on one thing. Wiping out every single person he could see. This time, Lucien could no longer afford to be in human form, so he shifted, fully into a wolf. His large wolf, with mid-night dark fur, stood as tall as Lance’s grotesque monster. With a roar, they both jumped. The clash between the two wolves was thunderous.

Alpha Lana's connection to the Sapphire orb surged to unprecedented levels. The raw power coursing through her veins made her tremble with an overwhelming force. In a single, thunderous clap of her hand, the ground quaked beneath them, sending shockwaves rippling through the battlefield. Lance replied. Amelia laughed and in the next instant, Lance was thrown backwards. Lance didn't waste anytime in shifting to his lycan form and so did Amelia. She immediately sent flames to the grey lycan which he dodged. She continued to fire at him, all of which Lance dodged. She breathed heavily as she was getting agitated at not being able to hit him. Lance shifted back to his human form when he saw that Amelia was no longer planning to attack him. "You know very well that I can't attack you as I still consider you my Luna. Please come back," Lance pleaded with Amelia.

“No one here wants me around, it's no different from my old pack, need I be Luna if the pack hates me?” I looked up at him, teary eyed. “Just let me go, please.” His face softened slowly, perhaps the sight of seeing me cry moved something in him, I couldn't tell. Or perhaps it was just his wolf reacting to the pain of its mate. “There'll be a Luna test soon, it's a series of physical and cognitive examinations to certify that you're Luna material.” He explained, looking everywhere but at me, “You have then to change their minds.”

The silver wolf form paused after her words fell, as Lancer reverted back to human form, his shirt torn to shreds hanging loosely between his well defined waist bulked by eight toned abs. "..." Aliana tilted her to look at Lancer who silently stared at her back after transforming to human form. She smiled, feeling the thread bonding the two of them thinning pitifully when the attempt for a murderous attack was made.

Ryder piped up. I frowned. "How come your transformation is excruciating?" I asked, cocking my head to the side. "Alerians don't have to go through this." Luke frowned. I was beyond ecstatic to finally let the world know that Lana is my Luna. Everything is now falling into the right place. But one thing I forgot to consider was the possibility that not everyone would agree or see Lana the way I and my friends do. Lana was so excited that she will be teaching the female warriors, and I was also excited for her that I never consider that being a mage and not a shifter would have an effect on some of them. “Our Luna will also be joining us in training our female warriors,” Jericho announces.
