Sienna: I let the towel fall to the floor as I changed into a loose, soft shirt and a pair of cotton shorts. My skin was still warm from the shower, and for once, I allowed myself to enjoy the silence. A rare moment of stillness in a house constantly thrumming with tension. I allowed myself to enjoy the temporary quietness in my room, knowing that my little girl was with the maids who were taking care of her based on Luna Evelyn's her quest.

She bounced down the steps in a bubblegum pink romper, phone in hand and a mischievous glint in her eye. “I heard you’re going shopping,” she said. “Mind if I tag along?” Lauren hesitated, clearly thrown off. Before she could respond, another voice joined them. Mrs. Moore. “I was just telling Camille she needs new sandals. Could you get her a pair while you’re out?” That sealed it. Louis caught the flicker of disappointment in Lauren’s eyes—quick and subtle, like a petal falling from a flower—but she nodded with grace. “Of course.”

I just tried to hide my embarrassment and smiled at the teachers who were looking at me. "Everyone, this is Lauren. From now on, she is one of those who will teach the students here during training. She is a soldier and she is good in close combat. Though she will not be here everyday. It's just on wednesday and Friday afternoon," he said. "W-what?" I turned to him in surprise. What is this again? He had a plan like that but he never bothered to tell me that earlier! We have plenty of time during lunch but he never dares to tell it to me!

"Look, Mrs. Scarlett! Your ‘precious’ daughter tried to sneak in and attack Damon! She's trying to get obsessed with him! She doesn't want to accept that the Alpha already chose me. It’s a throwback, at least, but if they had some sort of bitter breakup, why would she be posting photos of him at all? She must have been on a book tour for most of April, since there are four photos in a row of her with different gatherings of readers. Most of her photos are either of her with her computer or of her with Spartan, her horse. She wasn’t lying about that at least. “Hey, you.” Lauren plops down in the booth next to me and slides over. I tense, silently cursing Mason for inviting her out. Even if I hadn’t run into Chloe, Lauren isn’t someone I’d want to hook up with. “Your friend left?”

A woman walked out of a room, and shushed the kids. “Quiet! Quiet down children! give the couple some space!” My eyes blinked. Couple? I looked at Theodore, then down at his arm in my elbow... We did look like a couple. I could never marry Theodore though. He is too much like a sibling to me. I nicely pulled my arm away from him, as the children moved to let the lady through. “We are not a couple ma’am.” I generously said. “ I am a young lady who has no husband. I am a winemaker, and I need workers.” The lady dropped her job at my word. She was in awe at the idea of a lady winemaker.
