“I just signed something important. But come on, we deserve to celebrate. Let’s go shopping.”
Lyra gasped. “Shopping? Already?”
“Yes,” Mira said, standing up. “It’s been months since I did something for myself. Besides, I missed walking through the city.”
Her father chuckled. “You two go and have fun. You deserve it.”
Her mother nodded in agreement. “Buy yourself something beautiful, Mira. It’s a new beginning.”
Mira hugged her parents, then took Lyra’s hand. “Let’s go get ready , sis.”
The drive to the city took about an hour. The car moved smoothly through the glass towers and tree-lined streets of Ravenswood City, a place known for its luxury and elegance.
