All eyes turned toward it. “The Origin Gate.” The room went still. “It appears only during the End Cycle,” it explained. “A doorway to the Core itself.” Theodore squeezed my hand. “And where is it?” The hunter looked upward. “It is forming now.” The sky split again not violently, but precisely. A vertical line of pure white light appeared above the horizon, stretching endlessly upward. The air hummed with ancient power. The Origin Gate. The Cost Revealed Hope surged through the room until the hunter spoke again.

“I see. You don’t even have a phone so I guess I can expect that much.” ‘A phone?’ Before she could ask Jina what is a phone Jina already started with her explanation. “You see, three months ago those gates started appearing they are like portals of some sort. There are two types of ‘gates’. The first one is a ‘blue gate’. In a blue gate people fight monsters inside. The other one is a ‘red gate’, if people is the one entering a blue gate in the case of a red gate, the monsters are the ones coming out or maybe in their perspective, going in. There are some cases when blue gates turn into red gates. Monsters coming out in a red gate only stop after a whole day or should I say it closes?”

“Edward’s mark has made you blind.” My wolf growled inside me. “Say his name again like that, and I’ll—” But before I could finish, a wave of energy burst from the Gate, slamming into us both. I hit the ground hard, my vision exploding in white light. The air vibrated, a low, endless hum that filled every part of me. When I opened my eyes, Aaron was already on his feet, standing dangerously close to the Gate’s edge. The light surrounded him, curling around his body like tendrils of fire.

The blue lights on the walls cut out were replaced by a pulsing glow that lit up the concrete floors. My heart started racing. The automated turret above the gate whirred violently, its barrels snapped up as the red laser eye spun frantically.. It wasn't pointing outside. It was pointing at the center of the warehouse floor. The ground beneath my feet started rumbling a growl shaking the building. The blue system screen in front of me, Reformed into a massive golden banner that filled my vision with large flashing letters

“You don’t mean—” Before he could finish, the Silver Gate burst apart. A surge of dark energy swept into the chamber, throwing Kai across the floor and forcing Rowan to shield Luna with his body. Stone fragments flew like blades. The lantern flames lining the walls extinguished one after another, plunging the room into a bluish half-light. And then he emerged. A towering figure clad in decaying silver armor, symbols of an ancient Alpha etched across his chest. His eyes glowed with a sickly red light. Shadows poured from his form like smoke.

A mysterious and unpredictable display of light surrounded the room. A blast of wind threw Mayari Tabbu’s balance off, making her stumble. As the winds continued to blow hard inside the humble hut, the dark room was lit up by lightning, a small cyclone formed and carried the dust. Whirling and whirling in circles. Thunderous sounds appeared, and the cyclone began to disappear. And in another minute the Gatekeeper vanished out of thin air — Mayari Tabbu sent him to send a message to the others and she hoped that the Goddess of fate would begin to play fair.
