I mumbled, sweeping some papers down to the ground to make space for more. Anything to keep me from thinking of Lena. I didn't want to give Louis’ words a thought. The reports kept my mind preoccupied for a while until I was done going through the last of them. Time had struck past the middle of the night by a few minutes, however, I didn't feel a need to rest any more. Lena quickly occupied my thoughts again. What if Louis was right? Luis went through all the other details of the lady. His eyes widened "This can't be," Luis said and Lily looked at him questioningly. "She's been dead for 10 years now. " Lisa asked as one could hear her fuming from the other side. "I just want her to be with me" Noel replied. "Oh just stop with that bullshit! Scarlett and I trusted you for as long as we can remember but all you can do for her is to do this?! Have you ever thought of how she will feel if she finds out about this!" Lisa yelled as what was only left was fif her to jump out of the screen and talk sense into him. "I don't care how she will feel! I just love her and I want to be with her!" Noel lost his cool and could only reply harshly.

Lisa hurried towards them. “You must be Miss Nina. I am Lisa. Mr. Jackson is in a meeting now, so please make yourself comfortable. What would you like to have?” Nina smiled brightly. “Water won’t be such a bad idea.” She replied. Lisa brought water to her, and Xander joined her ten minutes later. “Hello, Nina. I hope I didn’t keep you waiting for too long?” He asked, sitting next to her. She shook her head, “not at all. You have a nice space here.”

Lydia said. He turned instantly, a flash of relief crossing his face. “Lydia.” She stepped beside him and slid her hand into the crook of his arm. “Sorry I’m late. I didn’t want to keep my Alpha waiting.” Nina’s smile faltered. “And you are?” “I’m Lydia,” she said sweetly. “Knox’s mate. His Luna. I think you’ve heard of me—or is something else the matter?” There was a pause—thick, uncomfortable silence as the word Luna settled into the space between them.
