Soon, it was time for lunch. As everyone headed to the cafeteria she raced downstairs to catch the bus. Lucy got out of the building and headed to the bus stop. Her bus arrived the second she got there. She quickly boarded the bus and paid her fare. She found a seat next to the window and sat there watching the cars outside go by and as the bus drove off.The bus ride back home only took fifteen minutes. It was extremely convenient. She packed a few stuffs into a small convenient bag and dashed back to work. Oh no! Lucy checked the time on her phone and then at the lengthy line of traffic ahead. It seemed the whole of Caryl was at a standstill.

Trevis raised the brick menacingly, ready to strike again— I was so desperate that I felt like I might vomit blood, and I shouted, "Trevis, another blow will kill him!" She ran toward the car from where she stood, shouting, "Get out of the car, Lucy!" It wasn't because she'd seen the helicopter. No, it was because there were two huge trucks speeding toward the car Lucille was in. Lucille saw Lila running to her and glanced in the rearview mirror to see the trucks. She bolted out of the car without hesitation. She and Lila ran to each other. As soon as she grabbed Lila's hand, there was a large explosion behind her. She and Lila felt like their eardrums were about to burst; a heatwave washed over them from behind.
