Her arms clamped down around my neck, and her head went to my shoulder. "That's Cady!" I looked at Caitie who was still standing next to me. "How do you know? How can you tell them apart?" I looked from the little girl in my arms to the other two who were still rolling around on the mat with their brother Cody. "She's the most outgoing of the three." "You kids are back, good; it's almost time for dinner. Todd, why don't you help Caitlin set the table?" Mrs. Lyon got up from her seat with a smile while her husband growled and shot daggers at me with his eyes.

Lynn's sarcastic remarks made Yvette return to her senses, and she looked toward Lynn. Lynn was dressed formally, but she showed off her assets. Her face was small, and she was frowning a little. Jealously was etched across her face. Yvette had seen her a couple of times in the past. Despite being a butler's daughter, she acted like she was a daughter of the Lane family. Seeing how Yvette wasn't answering her, Lynn thought Yvette didn't have her hearing aids on. So, she kicked the dirty clothes on the ground to the side and kept insulting Yvette.

Lynn’s frightening smile faded as she said, “That’s enough!” Yvonne was angered and aggrieved. “Don’t look for me anymore!” Lynn smirked mockingly and said, “My phone number is still the same. Ask someone to hand the car and relay any information over to me. That’s all you need to do!” After speaking, Lynn turned around and walked away. She had lost her family, gotten raped, and suffered a miscarriage. She wanted Lily and Howard to pay a painful price for everything that had happened to her!

Brianna joined in to help her sister, but I had Tracy in a tight lock and I wasn't going to loosen up even if the world was ending. Unfortunately, my anger was short-lived. I fell back as a cold and thunderous voice rumbled through the air. “What in Gaia's sake is happening here?” Her voice cut through my bone line razor sharp blade. Her heels clicked on the floor, pulling an unnerving cloud of fear with her. “Lena, you'd better have a perfect explanation, or I'm gonna skin you alive for trying to harm my daughters!” She snapped.

Rosalind approached Lynnette and whispered, “Can you help me, please? Accompany Jane, Lydia’s daughter for a few minutes, please? I’ll be back as soon as I have finished talking with some of our guests.” Lynnette nodded and walked to where Jane stood. The little girl grasped her dress and bit her lower lip, as she was scared. It was the first time she went to the church, and she knew no one.

Chapter 25 More guests kept arriving… business partners, investors, socialites dressed in their finest. Lyn had made her entrance shortly after Tiana and Ryan, looking stunning in an ice black dress that showed off her curves. She'd immediately found Tiana and attached herself to her side, privilege of being friends with the chief secretary, a spot reserved for you in the elites table. "Girl, you are the talk of the room," Lyn whispered excitedly. "Everyone wants to know who you are and how you landed Ryan Lancaster."

Kylo is waiting at the stairs for us and motions for me to follow him. We go into one of the interrogation rooms where Alpha King Leonard and Dr Ashley are waiting. “We did not mean to corner you like this but, Dr Ashley needs to speak to you.” Alpha King Leonard says. “As we know your venom is toxic and I would suggest that you don’t bite anyone unless it is life threating. You may rise suspicion if you do bite someone and blow your cover.” She explains. “But I will make enough antivenom for you to take with you. I just need more of your toxin first.” She brings that weird smelling liquid to my nose again and my canines drop. She fills five glass bottles this time.

There was an awkward silence for a few moments before Celyne spoke again, “what was your name, child?” Her feeling of nervousness growing, Lynnette introduced herself quickly, “Lynnette, Lady Celyne.” She could feel the woman's eyes were fixated on her, and she stiffened further. “Lynn, my dear,” Celyne said, now softer than she had previously spoken. “At ease, I cannot stand to see you so nervous.”

Putting aside the gifts she came with, she pulled out her phone and began taking pictures and videos of the scenes in the living room. ‘Tsk…Tsk ‘ ‘He sure has a lot of stamina ‘ Lynette went through the pictures while thinking with a smirked on her lips. ‘My…My, this photos can make an headline if I were to upload them on social media......Hmm, better still sell it to a Blogs to fetch some cash ‘ Hee…Hee I, Lynette Carter, am not so kind. She would let him know that messing with her was his ultimate pain. Without hesitation, she ascended the staircase, heading to Alex's bedroom, where the sound was more prominent

Lynette giggled and whispered, "Surprise! There's no medicine in there. Who told you to be so bold as to steal my man? Go die!" She grabbed my hair forcefully. Then she deliberately fell toward me. She screamed: "Help! Help me! Lydia, why are you pulling me down? I can't swim!" Underwater, she kept thrashing around, pressing my head down with all her might. She hissed sinisterly in my ear: "You're dead." I wanted to struggle but had no strength left. Through my blurred vision, I saw Tyler kick me hard. My scalp burned as Lynette yanked out a handful of my hair.
