The Red Moon day arrived but this time my family, the creature of full moon weren't happy. The occasion of Red Moon day came in every 3 years and that time when the moon shine upon us we all feel powerful than ever. Every wolf life depend upon it's pack and tribe so that particular day when the moon was at its peak every wolf unconsciously shape-shifts to their natural worm because wolf are most powerful at its animal form. Its been our ritual for so long, the tribe gather up together to feel enlightened, more powered and stronger.

If that's the case I must thank it at least by watching over it as it rests and recovers. I took out my handkerchief and dabbed it against the fox's bleeding wounds. I tore my handkerchief into strips and used them as bandages for the animal's hurt leg. I sat next to it for a while just to make sure that it rests peacefully. For some reason, I had an urge to pet the fox as it was there lying next to me. I ran my fingers across its head and the most magical thing happened. Its fur sparkled and the scratches on its face miraculously healed right before my eyes. It was fascinating; I don't know if it's because of my touch or it has an innate ability to self-heal.

I curiously asked as all I could see were nothing but smoke and fire. “You’re still in my house, Emir.” Merlin devastatingly replied. “What happened?” “You tell me?” He was looking at my lower part. I immediately looked down as was completely shocked I am totally naked and felt abashed as I covered my private parts with my bare hands. “What do you mean? I don’t know. I am not here, remember?” “You’re not here but your body shifted into a gigantic fox and all your tails stretching out blazing.” Merlin was truly an expert on magic as with just one flip from his finger, the house gets back to normal and I got my clothes back.

I asked myself in my head, my mind racing. Turning the page, the book revealed more about fox spirits, their abilities, similar to werewolves but they were far stronger, depending on the number of their tails. They could generate fire or lightning from their mouth or tails, shapeshift, possess a person’s body and create illusions to manipulate and outsmart their opponents.

But instead of old stories from my grandmother’s life, the pages were scrawled with strange symbols and sketches—shorthand in her handwriting explaining the purpose of different runes and sigils. Flipping through the pages, there were sketches of wolves, and the last page that she’d written in had a detailed rendition of a nightmarish wolf-beast that made my blood run cold at the sight of it, it’s eyes smudged over with charcoal in the shape of a protective rune. My heart raced when I realized what I was holding. This was no ordinary journal, it was a spell book.

Far down the pass, an explosion ripped through the snow, and the air filled with the scent of scorched flesh. From the smoke, more figures emerged — but these weren’t Bloodforged. They were guild fighters. Harlow was at the front, sabers gleaming. “Step away from him!” Varrow’s smirk didn’t falter. “Ah. The cavalry.” In the chaos that followed, Killian caught a flash of Daryl’s hand — slipping something small and dark into Varrow’s pocket before stepping back. A seed of magic. Timed magic. Killian realised it just as Varrow’s cloak flared, blocking his sight — and when it dropped again, both Varrow and Daryl were gone.

This was an unwelcome issue but not a surprise. Sophia Floria was my best friend. She was a fairy with purple mage magic who I’d met at the small elementary school my territory had. The other wolves in my territory had bullied her for being different, with her silver hair and her purple eyes. I’d stood up for Sophia and the rest was history.

"So, what does all of this mean? Will I turn into a wolf every night? Will I start attacking people?" "No, you will not transform into a wolf every night. Only with the full moon will you be compelled to transform. You can control it at any moment. And, no, you're not going to attack individuals any more than you already have. You're still essentially the same person you were before. However, there are distinctions." "Such as?” He stood up and began to pace. "We are resistant to sickness and illness. We heal rapidly. Your body temperature will rise somewhat, and your metabolism will accelerate significantly."

But I kept on going knowing that it wasn't far as the trail bordered the village. I thought about Ellwood's words. The wolf charmer was born of both magic and the moon. I was clearly born of magic, but I still didn't understand the part about being born by the moon. I hadn't thought to ask her about it at the time. Maybe she would know what it meant.

"Luna, can you teach me some magic, please?" ‌ Luna knelt down and ruffled Rosey's hair. "Of course, my dear. But remember, magic comes from the heart. It's not about flashy spells; it's about love and intention." ‌ And so, Luna began teaching Rosey the basics of magic. The young werewolf practiced diligently, and soon, she could make flowers bloom with a flick of her paw. It wasn't long before Rosey became known as the "Little Sorceress" of the pack, enchanting everyone with her budding magical talents.
