When they felt our presence, the couple looked in our direction. Mariah quickly smiled as she saw me. “Greyson, Mariah.” The couple were just a few years older than me. Mariah is in her early thirties, while Greyson was turning thirty-five this year. Mariah pulled me into a gentle hug. “Anastasia, dear. I’m happy to see you again.” She faced me while smiling widely. “It’s been a long time; how are you?” “It’s been a while, Mariah. Anyway, I’m doing great. How about you?”

“I had Thomas take over. Even Owen told me to take off.” Maya looked up at him suspiciously. “Owen? One of the board of directors who is always on your other side?” She asked sarcastically. “What happened? Did he bump his head or something?” Grayson chuckled as he led her back inside the villa. “Playing nice because he knows he’ll be raking in additional green when Aurora opens,” he answered and stopped when he saw Cassandra. He glanced at Maya calmly and she told him who she is in a low voice. “Hello, Cassandra. My name is Grayson St. Claire. It’s nice to meet you. I’m Maya’s fiancé.”

~~~DIANA~~~ {30 Minutes Later} "Aren't you married, Mr. Grayson?" I ask, turning slightly in my seat so I can look him in the face. Grayson gives me his smooth little smile, the kind guys use when they think they’re being charming. He shifts closer to me, his arm still resting on the back of my chair. “I’m in the process of divorcing my wife, actually. Papers are almost finalized. It’s been a long time coming.”

I nodded. Before I could make it to the white leather sofa to wait, an Amazonian blonde sashayed out of the Greyson's office, grinning like she'd just had the best sex of her life. She paused as she past me, casting her gaze down my podgy body. Her freckled nose curled in disgust. "Send Miss Smithson in." Greyson barked through the intercom. I turned to Mabel, raising my eyebrows with a slight smile. Butterflies swarmed in my stomach.

Gosh, my mother is going to kill me when she finds out. I couldn’t go too far as I bumped into something hard and nearly fell on the ground. Someone grabbed me then held me up. I looked up and found myself looking into a pair of piercing grey eyes that belonged to none other than Logan Hill. “Marina? What are you doing here? Why are you running?” he asked. He looked at my distraught face. His eyes narrowed. “Um…well…I’m on a date,” I stammered. “Is that right?” he asked and stared at me intently. “So, where is your date?”
