I still hoped that one day we would meet again. I didn't know almost twenty years would pass before our paths crossed for the second time.

I feel like I want to say that I miss him and want to plan another meeting, but I don't feel like it's appropriate for that. Meanwhile, Rylee hasn't invited me to meet again, even though I was really looking forward to his short message. He has continued to discuss his life and work over the past few weeks, and so have I. We exchange stories with each other. "Rylee, maybe it would be really nice if we could meet in the real world and not just talk via social media." "You're right, I think so too." Rylee's answer disappointed me. He didn't invite me to meet again. Did he really not want to see me anymore?

It was 2am, Shane was going through the details of Esther's call history when he suddenly yelled.
