The Alpha Who Ruined Me

The Alpha Who Ruined Me

My phone buzzed again on the table. A message from my best friend this time. We never see you anymore. Are you okay? I stared at the screen longer than necessary. Another message followed. You missed Maya’s birthday last week. That’s not like you. Right. I had missed it. I’d told myself I was busy. That I’d make it up to her. That one missed event didn’t matter. But it was becoming a pattern. Missed calls. Missed dinners. Missed moments that used to feel important.

Silk after dust

Silk after dust

I said. “You are uncertain.” Silence. The second supervisor shifted slightly. “The instructions changed yesterday,” he said. “And they were not reinforced.” There it was. A gap. Small. But critical. “Why was it not reinforced,” I asked. Neither answered immediately. Because they did not know. That was the problem. Marcus stepped forward. “We will address communication flow,” he said. “Yes,” I replied. “But not later.” “Now.” The message moved quickly. Adjustments began immediately. Clarifications issued.

The Luna and her Twin Mates

The Luna and her Twin Mates

I just opt to check Mirco and Zen's private messages to me. Mirco: I know you wanted space, but I really missed you, Av. Mirco: I hope you'll talk to us sooner. I missed everything about you. Zen: I missed you. Zen: I hope you'll let us explain, Av. You clearly misunderstood but do know it wasn't your fault. I wiped the tear that escaped my eyes upon reading their messages. I missed them too. So much. It's just a few days yet it feels like eternity ever since I last saw and talked to them.

I get very ticked off when it comes to this Yumi character. I'm debating stopping reading this b/c this girl just keeps dragging things out. If this was a normal chapter novel I'd have skipped over a dozen chapters by now.

Hello everyone! It's been so long since I last updated here and I sincerely apologise for making you wait. I didn't forget this book, I just lost some spark, but I'm slowly rekindling it. Anyway, thank you to those who still read this, and to those who left, thank you for giving my book a chance <3

He Came Back Running

He Came Back Running

Hargrove has not resumed active duties within the next two weeks? I read it twice.... Looked at the date. Three days ago. The memo was three days old and had been circulating among the board for three days without anyone informing Rivaldi, who would have informed Maya, which meant either the communication had been contained deliberately or the members receiving it had not yet decided how to handle it. Either way, it was moving. I leaned back in the chair The City was visible through the window..... the grey, consistent water that had been the backdrop of every significant thought I had sat with in this building.

While I like it so far, it's difficult not to notice that AI is being used for a great deal of the story. It's painfully obvious because "person does thing with the quality of a blah blah blah that's decided something and rearranged themselves around it" That sentence structure is used ad nauseum

This is how you tell a story! I do pray it stays this way as I failed to look and see it was ongoing as I usually don’t read ongoing books because updates are not substantial but baby…!!!! This book thus far is a great read and can’t wait until it’s completed.

Sins With My Ex's Father

Sins With My Ex's Father

One was through the radio, but most people had stopped listening to it, and there had been a problem with it some time back, so it couldn't be used. The Alpha could also communicate through mindlink, but there were older wolves whose minds had turned foggy and might not get the information, and there were also people like Kylie with no wolves. Because of that, a pack member could lie and claim they didn’t hear the news, since if the recipients were many, the Alpha’s voice wouldn’t reach them all. Not to mention phones or group chat—the younger members might have them, but the older generation was often busy and focused on other things. Some didn’t even have a phone, and the ones who did migh

Becoming Mrs. Lockwood

Becoming Mrs. Lockwood

He must have done it while we were talking. Weston had cleared his schedule that evening to make sure he was home for dinner so we could spend some time together. To talk. We’d been working so hard on the project, and I totally forgot. It wouldn’t have been an issue, but our group of friends had been in the parking lot and we lost track of time while talking. “I’m sorry, Weston,” I said, and scrambled to pull out my phone. Six missed phone calls and three text messages. Shit. What a difference an hour made.

Contracted to the man who broke me

Contracted to the man who broke me

Spine straight, hands loose at my sides, running entirely on the last reserves of what had been a very long day on top of a very short night. Outside the window the city had gone gold with the last of the evening light. I watched it and breathed slowly and waited. "The Whitmore timeline," he said, without looking up. "Page four. The March communication is out of sequence." I looked. He was right. A single email, misfiled by three days. Something in me — something that had been carefully, professionally held together since ten o'clock this morning — went very quietly sideways. "I'll fix it," I said.

ILLICIT AFFAIRS

ILLICIT AFFAIRS

He said with so much certainty and I trusted him so it must've been something I overlooked on my part. We were still both confused so I decided to check our text chain and confirm if he sent me a text earlier that I'd missed. As soon as I clicked on his name in my chats, I noticed that he'd sent me the details but I genuinely didn't remember ever seeing the notification pop up and that bothered me slightly. "Shit, here it is. I'm so sorry man, my bad. How'd I miss this though?" I apologized while I also tried to read the message on my screen to get up to date with the new updated details I'd missed out on somehow.

Brian Kings and His Substitute Bride

Brian Kings and His Substitute Bride

I used the ten minutes that I gave her to round up a few things till I was distracted by a notification from my W******p. Meelah sent me a text that she was waiting for me outside so I had to leave because the time-sensitive work focus that I set had elapsed and it was time to go home. On my way out of the office, I realized that Meelah sent me a series of messages on my W******p at the time that I was busy working and I didn’t reply to a single one because I didn’t get notified about the message. The event already overtook the whole message thing, so instead of replying to her I just made my way downstairs to join Meelah at the parking lot and we were on our way home.
