Morgana is stopped in her bid to be out of this hall by the shadows that have everyone moving out of their way. I smirk as a strangled scream comes from Morgana. Denu has no interest in playing games when it comes to torturing people, especially since she became pregnant. Her pups are seriously mischievous, they love to latch onto their mothers magic. Lending a hand, their little auras mixing with their mothers. I watch as Denu slowly and deliberately walks dramatically towards Morgana; I shake my head at her antics, she has her mothers flair, I’ll give her that.

It presses against my skin from fifty feet away. She crouches in front of Sage. "Hello, little one." Her voice is smooth and sweet and wrong in the way spoiled fruit looks fine until you're already tasting it. Sage, in Haven's voice: "You're the bad lady." Morgana smiles. "I'm the one who's going to save you." She reaches out one hand. I howl. Fifty warriors explode from the tree line. For about four seconds, the ambush is perfect. Morgana's wolves scatter, caught mid-reach, and our warriors hit them before they can form ranks. The crack of bodies meeting, the grunt of impact, the fast ugly sounds of a real fight, nothing clean about any of it.

Chloe says hugging me. “We can finally kill them Warren. Damon, Colton, Ryder, Morgana. We can finally be rid of them.” Chloe says but I wince at the sound of Morgana’s name. Fuck me if I let anything happen to her. “Where are they?” I ask her. “Oh they’re really close. They’re right here in the castle.” Chloe laughs clapping her hands. “I cant wait to see the look on their faces. They must think they’re so smart. Trying to land a surprise attack. Morgana has always been foolish. She should know by now, I cannot be outsmarted.” Chloe says, her voice getting darker with every syllable.

I taunted, spitting blood. “Hide in a woman and take down two wounded wolves? There had more mythical legends about you.” Morgana-Malachai's eyes narrowed. "Careful, rogue. You'll get yourself killed with your tongue.” “Certainly better than living like a coward,” I shot back.

I staggered, caught by Damon. “Morgana?” Mordecai’s face had gone pale. “That’s impossible. She died twenty years ago.” “Who is Morgana?” I demanded. “Your mother’s sister,” Maren said quietly. “Your aunt. She was exiled for forbidden experiments involving bonding wolves against their will. The Council sentenced her to death, but she disappeared before the execution could be carried out.”

In a language I didn’t know. The rogue nearest to her froze. Completely. Eyes wide. Limbs stiff. He dropped to the ground like a statue, unmoving. Dead? No. Breathing. Trapped. Harley looked down at her own hands, as stunned as we were. Then— The wind shifted. A new scent. Colder. Thicker. Witch. And from behind the trees, her figure emerged. Morgana. Calm. Elegant. Barefoot in the dirt, her silver-black robes trailing like mist behind her.

Morgan snorted, but when I nearly tripped over a protruding tree root, she quickly reached out to steady me. "Watch yourself, you fool," she said gruffly. "The rainforest is full of dangers." Piras ordered and Morgana looked panicked at us both. "Use your magic and go to your sister," I mumbled softly and she waved her hand making herself invisible. Dantes the troll or orc swiped around the presumable space and groaned in annoyance. Piras was rubbing his eyes in frustration. He pulled Faelon off the woman's nipple and looked between him and us.
