It was Lani's shop. Scar felt his heart clench is anger as he realised the bastard hadn't hurt Lani physically, it had all been mental. That tattoo parlour was her everything, Scar knew it just like everyone else did and that was why he needed to find her - quickly. He knew more than anyone that mental wounds were much more painful than the ones that can be seen, he had to try and help her. The sky was dark as the ash danced around the club, the only light was the blaze of orange and red from the mighty fire, the glow left an eerie atmosphere that lingered around the lot. After a few more seconds of scanning the area, Scar found the little one with a careful eye.

As she strolled closer it became apparent how beautiful she really was—and when she was mere feet away, something else became even more apparent. Across her left cheek were faded purplish scars, almost as if someone had bitten into her face and pulled out part of her cheek. They were long since healed now, but the evidence was clear as day. I could see how to some it would be slightly unsettling, but Natasha seemed to wear them as a badge of honor, with her chopped hair on that side almost spotlighting them and a broad smile plastered on her face. Even before she spoke, I had to admit I admired her. "Lady Ozera, welcome," Victor pleasantly greeted.

This man almost doubled his muscle mass. His dark brown hair had subtle streaks of red throughout. His eyes were green with hints of gold. They were the most amazing things I had ever seen. Looking at him made my heart pound. His eyes were focused on mine as he held my gaze. The scar on the left side of his neck was faded, the sight of it enraged me. I didn’t know why I was so upset about him being hurt. I felt myself begin to get lost in his eyes when my mind snapped me out of it.
