Its intelligent sensors could detect the approach of vehicles, pedestrians, or any potential intruders, responding with swift precision to ensure the utmost security. The gate was normally open around the time that Rose had gotten home, but tonight it appeared to be closed on purpose, a purposeful change from that position. Rose was awestruck by the grandeur and menacing air that came from this towering structure as she stood in front of it. The fact that the gate was so securely closed not only added to the sense of misery, but it also heightened the anxiety she was already feeling.

It didn’t matter. Right now, the important thing was what had just happened tonight. Everything was moving in the direction I wanted. The car finally slowed down, and I looked ahead as we approached my gate. But before the driver could even honk for the gate man to open it, something immediately caught my attention. Something was different. I sat up slightly. Flashing lights. Blue and red. My brows pulled together in confusion. The gate was already open, so the driver just drove in without stopping. The lights became clearer as we moved closer.

Thalion continued to stare at me as the Gate slung almost closed, pausing with the lip still free. Liam stepped forward, placing both hands on the Gate. "Gar Geata." With one last flash of power, it thudded shut, the sealing of it vibrating the stones beneath our feet, the light surrounding it flickering out at last. Even as it did, all of the remaining magic gathered itself into a ball of fire and slammed forcefully into Liam. He gasped, but I could tell he was okay. The transfer of power was complete and the new Gatekeeper stood before me.

"Understood agent, I'll disable the lights on the floor for twenty minutes and send false alerts to security that a disturbance has occurred on the fifty first floor." Carmen smiled again; this was going to be fun. Amelia had her own little personality which made her forget for a moment that she was only an AI. After a minute or so the lights flickered out and she put on her night vision glasses. She turned the corner and watched the guards who were looking around trying to figure out what had happened. She heard one trooper call security, but he quickly ended the call. He told the other soldiers that security was down and the lines were jammed.

In this way, the light gate was fixed in the void and would never disappear. In the eastern sky in the distance, daylight began to appear. A new day was coming. "The light gate is filled with space elements...It's so stable and so peaceful. This...Can this be a space gate for transmission?" Someone couldn't help but exclaim in a low voice. No one responded to him.

There were talks, as recent as a few months ago, to decommission it and sell it off. A dreadful squeak shattered the still night as Arno pried the metal gates open, and Benji unlocked the roller shutter doors. He flipped the switch on the wall, and the only light bulb in the centre of the room flickered uncertainly for a nanosecond before staying on, bathing them in an eerie orange glow.

I asked. "Black leather, high-tech security system, dark gray exterior paint, black shingles, and the biggest LED lighting on the market in each room. I want it to be state-of-the-art and luxurious. Four car garage, long circular driveway, black metal fence around the property, and I want the gate at the end of the driveway to open at the push of a button." Earl replied irritably before demanding, "What is your first name, Miss O’Shea?"

She had finally climbed down, and she motioned we were going to head to the front gate, but I stopped her. “Actually, Syd… We have a gate in that direction… At the back. And no one’s been posted there. It only has a motion-detecting device and… a CCTV camera. You could climb up there as fast as you could and run for your life if the very bright light comes on and Mr. Gubbels will run after you. Yeah! You will have a lesser chance for someone to catch you than going bravely at the front gate with a guard who got a shotgun, taser, and a pistol with him. What do you say?” I suggested thoughtfully, and she made a thinking face.

He took a brief look at it, squinting his eyes a bit before nodding his head. "You can go in" he said, gesturing to the other guy with the bull mastiff to open the gates. The other one nodding in response, walks over to the dashboard on the right gate post and presses the red button on it. A beep sound is heard just before the gate begins to open automatically. Stepping on the gas, I drove in. Looking around, I could still recognize a lot of things here even after five long years.

“Am I exposing the wire on the yellow?” “Enough to touch the black one to it. Make sure it’s the end coming from the box and not the end to the gate. The gate end will most likely just set off an alarm.” Pulling the wires gently, Brody moved the end that led to the gate out of the way. The light was fading faster than he’d like, and he didn’t dare use a flashlight. Just because they walked right up to the gate, didn’t mean they were going to be able to walk right in; the less attention they drew to their location the better. “And when I touch this to the wire, what happens?”
