Chapter 79 Raija’s POV “Why has Nick not come home for Christmas?” I ask my parents Christmas Morning. “I’m here,” Nick comes around the corner, his dark hair is falling into his face. “I just wanted to stay at a hotel for privacy.” “Bro got a girl?” Sean asks with a huge smile. “No, just weighing my options. You know I am supposed to take over as Alpha after graduation. I just wanted some space,” Nick says but I see sweat on his brow.

He says with that megawatt smile as he sits down. "Now here's what we are going to do, pretty boy." Nikolai says as he eyes me, and my jaw ticks. "I'm sure there's no need to introduce myself but either way, I'll do so anyway. I'm Nikolai Rostov and you can call me just that. It's nice to meet you. The "one-shot sniper ", he mocks then stretches out his hand for a handshake. "Oh, that's right. You can't shake me back, my bad." He Snickers and I growl, bastard.

He felt guilty for his words. "You always order around me and shout at me. I don't like your snobby nature." Lisa complained and scrunched her nose. "OK! I won't order you-if you promise me to be obedient." Brad looked at her from peripheral vision. "Pinky promise." Lisa held out her pinky finger. Brad liked his pinky finger with her and a rare smile appeared on his lips. Lisa then closed her eyes and went into a deep slumber. ~~~~~~

But Frank was terrified of Nick. Nick is a big softy unless you mess with his pack. He loves a good debate, especially since not many humans or werewolves have the guts to stand up to him. So, I tried and oblige him whenever I pass through. Nick was a monstrous werewolf. Old now, he’s lived along the Northwest Coast for at least the last 100 years. He has a pack but he’s always lived outside the pack lands. He travels home from time to time for updates and of course celebrations. Anything with whiskey and food. That man knows how to have a good time.

One asked with a prominent German accent. “I'm here to meet Katya.” Nick said coolly, as if there was no knife to his throat. “Who do you think you are that you can waltz in here and demand to meet her?” The man holding a knife to Nadine's throat asked. “I'm an Alpha of a pack down south. I'm here to warn her of impending danger.” Nick said. Nadine didn't know what was going on, so she kept mute and watched Nick speak confidently.

If there was one thing Nicholas knew about Kennedy, it was the fact that he was never a man to joke around; he always meant what he said and said what he meant. If he said his men were coming, then they were already on their way to him. Kennedy must have prolonged the conversation to track his exact location and ended the call when he had exactly what he wanted. Nicholas stood at a spot for about 30 seconds before he sprung into action like a man whose alarm bells suddenly rang in his head. He was in trouble, a big one at that. He packed his bag, took a few of his belongings, glued a fake mustache on his upper lip, and a fake beard on his clean-shaved lower lip, wore big clothes, a baseball

His legs nearly buckled. Charlie slowly pulled out a chair and sat down leisurely. “Where’s Miss Hale? Where did you instruct Edward to take her?” Straight to the point. Nick’s legs were still trembling. Hearing the question, he took a deep breath, straightened his face, and replied with firm conviction, “Mr. President, I had nothing to do with this. You can’t go around accusing people without proof!”

“You’re calling the cops?” “No, I’m calling an ambulance. You said there are children. They need medical attention, we can report the accident later. Write down your details, please.” He handed me a black notebook. The front is embossed with gold lettering. Greyson Elliot. Slack-jawed, I glanced at the notebook, then cast my gaze over the God before me. It can’t be? It’s not possible. He has Greyson’s eyes but nothing else. Greyson Elliot is a scrawny, acne-ridden geek and dirt poor. And I haven’t laid eyes on him in a decade.

“Put it on.” He rolled his eyes. “Is that a requirement to rescue the girls?” Nikola, who’d been working on his postgraduate studies, had this thing for going around shirtless or wearing muscle shirts, and while I didn’t give a shit what he did while on this campus, it would draw unwanted attention at Yale. “Yes,” I gritted. “Fine, fine.” His expression sombered, but there was a hint of excitement in his voice. The guy could be restless to the point of stirring trouble, much like his uncle Sasha.

"What about Nick?" Alinta stared at Marisol with a look that said she knew something was going on between them, but she reassured her first. "Don't worry. Things were a bit rough at the beginning, but I heard Nick secured a partnership project with the National Security Agency. Now, he has government protection, so everything's fine." Marisol wasn't surprised that he'd secured it. She understood the value of Nick's algorithm, the CN Large Language Model. It was inevitable that he'd succeed.
