Stories of death—and worse than death. His throat went dry, as a chill raced up and down his spine. Papa fucking Nightmare is here. The pounding on the metal increased, becoming chaotic, frantic. Muffled, unintelligible voices mixed with animalistic hisses and snarls. The same sounds he’d heard from those zonbis ripping apart Bernstein’s SUV. Something—or more accurately—some things wanted in. “Why don’t you go out to the highway and play “hide and go fuck yourself”?” he replied and hit “end.”

But its what makes our pack and the alliance so self sufficient and industrialized even though its so hidden from humans. So its valid to say I'm used to my nightmares and the way they unfold. This night was different however. Its starts out like normal, me as a child running through fire as Ray chases me, but just as he is about to grab my by the throat, it cuts and jumps to me as an adult, hung upside down in what looks like a mafia warehouse, beaten.

No, a puzzle, but somehow a clue, that goes like this. "Don’t you remember those happy voices in your mind as you sleep? Or maybe the screams you hear of terror in a nightmare. What is a nightmare? Isn’t a nightmare a small prison you’re trapped in, with no hopes of waking? Why? Because you never know you’re asleep. You forget everything, your name, your life, and who you are. The only thing to accompany you are the monsters that laugh in your mind, that taunt you, knowing everything. Your life, your happiness, everything that had been stolen away. But the scariest part of the nightmare won’t be the monsters. They aren’t scary themselves. The most fearful thing of all is that they are yours.

My Nightmare Natty's POV It was morning already and last night was a long night. I never knew he was that insatiable.I lot count as to how many times we did it. Thinking about it, I smiled. I looked over to him and smiled more. He was still sleeping like a baby. I tried standing up but I felt pain in my thighs. I tried again but I just groaned. My groaning woke him up,he was baffled and asked. "Baby are you alright..."he asked in a husky voice.

No longer the ruined coliseum. This was the Nightmare. And it had claimed them all. ☠️ End of Chapter 12

He looked again at the book I was carrying and let out a sigh, as if what he was about to say weighed more than he had expected. “What you saw last night…” he began, his eyes serious, “wasn’t a nightmare or a hallucination. Scarlett, the creature that almost drowned you is a gorgon. A princess of the lake, to be exact.” The words barely seemed real, and for a moment I thought it had to be some kind of joke. “A… gorgon?” I repeated, incredulous. “Like in the legends?” “Yes.” Alex nodded, his expression completely certain. “I don’t know why a lake princess attacked you, but I promise I’ll find out.”

[Welcome to Eternal Nightmare. Survival is victory.] The cold, robotic female voice blasted through the dark while I was sprawled on the couch doomscrolling. The next second, a white flash nuked my vision and forced my eyes shut. When I opened them again, my living room had straight-up rage quit and turned into a blood-red wasteland. "Okay, what the hell?" I squinted and spotted my six-foot-two husband, Adrian Chase, already doing the whole protective-dad thing with one arm around our son.

After that, Marcus stopped trying. Marcus had been convicted of fraud. Nothing violent. He was forty-one, with the tired face of a man who had spent his life avoiding trouble. Prison was supposed to be a brief stop, a lesson. But on his very first night, the nightmares began. From his very first day in prison, Marcus began having nightmares, always the same dream. He dreamed he was walking down a pitch-black alley. The walls were damp, the air thick with the smell of rotting fruit. Far ahead, a single streetlamp flickered, casting a weak yellow circle on the ground. Beneath that light stood a woman in a red dress. Her back was to him. Her hair was long and black, hanging like a curtain. And

I close my eyes. The game is over. But the nightmare? The nightmare has only just begun.

Pushing, shoving, and cursing was going on everywhere, nobody wanted to become collateral damage. Nightmare saw all this and his blood boiled, wrinkles filled his old face as he clenched his fist even tighter and increased his speed back home. In the time he had been away, all hell had broken loose. He just hoped that it was not too late to save who needed the pavilion.
