After exchanging ideas on training warriors, Xander teases, “I heard you’ve found your mate.” I smile, “Yes, she’s a human mate.” Xander and I have known each other for decades. There’s no need to keep it from him. Xander raises his eyebrows. “Does she know about the Luna?” I nod and take on a troubled look. “She knows it and accepts it. It’s Eva. I don’t understand what’s wrong with her today.” Xander shrugs. “Yeah, she seems a little weird today.” That’s an understatement. She’s insane today.

“I hate it too, but there’s not much else we can do unless we want to start something with the Lycan brat.” I swallow hard, the tension between wanting to find Aeron and wanting to get Eva back pulling me in two different directions. “And what about Eva?” Nero meets my gaze, his expression hardening. “That’s going to be more complicated.” “What the hell does that mean?” “It means,” Nero says, “Eva is Darius’ Luna. She’s the rightful Luna of his pack. He’s got a claim on her, and unless she rejects him, that claim holds. If we try to take her without her rejecting him first, it’s going to start a war. And as much as I hate to admit it, we’re not in a position to deal with that right now.”

People from the village were closing in. My heart raced as I frantically paddled, but the boat still moved painfully slow. The footsteps grew louder, and my heart sank into despair. Were we really not going to make it? Suddenly, Eve stood up. She smiled softly at me, her lips curving with a gentle warmth. “Emma, you have to live—for me and your mom.”

Just then, the door burst open, and a blond walked in, accompanied by a little girl. My attention snagged on the child first, assuming that she was the lady's, but as the child turned toward me, my heart stopped. “Mummy!” she yelped and ran toward Elara. She had dark eyes, the same sharp curve of the jaw, a faint dimple in the left cheek. Not even the hair down her back could hide the glaringly undeniable truth.

I guess it only ever stopped after I have proven myself as a warrior and the second when I became Evan's chosen mate, then, Luna. I shift in my seat uncomfortably, unable to ignore the nervous glances everybody keeps throwing at me. KYLA POV After surviving the spa battle of the century, I honestly thought I deserved nothing more than pudding, slippers, and sleep. Maybe a small parade, if anyone felt generous. But what I got instead… was something that would live in the archives of my soul.

This is wonderful!" She said. I shot a small victorious smile to Jacob before looking back to Frances. "We need to have the Luna ceremony Tate. She's claimed, you're claimed. This is so exciting!" I chuckled as I felt Tate squeeze my hand gently, probably to keep himself calm while his mother babbled about decorations and food and whatnot.

He winked at her while she chuckled and nodded, waving her hand in the air. "Bye." After he walked out of the home, Eva looked at her phone and called her friends at the conference. "Hello, guys. I got a plan." Eva told them. "But didn't we already make it yesterday?" Nish replied from the other side. "Yeah, But I got something easy and hope it will work on her. Now her anger made her reveal in front of everyone." Eva's words made everyone agree with her words. "Let's discuss our new plan and deal with her today." After saying that, Eva disconnects the call and soon takes her bag on one side shoulder and walks out of the house to take a cab.
