OLIVIA I pressed the phone to my ear, blinking fast to hold back the tears. I didn’t want to cry, not in front of my sister, and definitely not over the phone. But the moment I heard Dante’s voice, everything I’d been holding in came crashing down. “Where are you, Olivia?” he asked. My throat tightened, and the tears spilled harder, sliding down my cheeks. “I’m with my sister,” I whispered, my voice breaking. “Lilian.”

I finish with a smile on my face. Before Caleb could say anything a clapping sound emanated from behind him. Caleb turned to look behind him, giving me a clear view of who the sound was coming from. Olivia stood beside Caleb's bed, her hands clapping together with a sly smile spreading across her face. "Say hello to all my five hundred thousand followers," she said, her voice dripping with malice. I noticed a tripod stand in front of her, holding her phone, the screen glowing with what looked like a live stream.

“You’re ridiculous.” Daniela gasped, hand to her chest. “You’re ridiculous, sitting here trying to feel bad about what might be the hottest night of your life. I’m literally squeaking for you, and you’re moping. No. Not in my house.” Olivia smiled, letting herself relax. Daniela beamed, satisfied. “That’s my girl. Now—” Daniella was cut off by a buzz from Olivia's phone. She reached for it, thumb swiping across the screen.

I can relive this moment over and over and never get tired. "What's with all the racket? Honestly, the neighbors probably think you're reenacting some primitive tribal dispute out here." I stop dead at the sound of that voice. Shit. That voice that promises nothing but more trouble. More headaches. Olivia. Why now? I didn't even hear the sound of her heels. "Olivia?" Odin's voice drops two octaves. Yes, that's what Olivia's presence can do to you. "Stop staring at me like I've grown two heads." She spits.

He said, referring to the combat that happened minutes ago. “Ofcourse,” the corner of Father's lips curved up. He directed his hand to the both female wolvens beside Alpha Reuel. “And this is the Skylarron’s Luna, Elena and their daughter, Stella.” “Pleasure to meet you, Oliver” Elena waved her hand to stop me from bowing my head to her. “I must say the description about your…beauty do not do you justice.” I faked a smile, hoping it doesn't come out as awkward as I felt. Elena wore a smile that brightened her face warmly. Her dark hair was swept to the back, braided and held with pins. “The pleasure is mine, Luna Elena.”

The lion's den. Olivia got there, and stood outside Nero’s office for several minutes, her heart hammering. Her palms were sweating, and she wiped it severally on her dress. Her earlier bravado was deserting her, but she remembered Lulu’s state, and her resolve was strengthened once more—at least a bit. She put one foot forward, and frowned when she heard voices. She could hear muffled voices inside. Maybe he had a guest? Then she heard a woman’s laugh. Her stomach dropped. She knew that laugh. She knew that voice. She almost chickened out. But before she could lose anymore of her courage, she surged forward, and opened the door.

She hesitated, then pressed play. At first, she only heard breathing. Slow. Rhythmic. Female. Then, her own voice. “Ethan can’t stop me. The board won’t either. Once they’re gone, it’s all mine.” Olivia froze. Her own voice. Her tone. Her rhythm. But she had never said those words. “I’ll take him down, and they’ll all think it was Jessica.” The message ended. The silence afterward felt deafening. She stared at the phone, her hands trembling violently.

Leaning forward, Olivia whispered sensually. “My name is Olivia Wilona.”

I cursed myself internally, feeling the awkwardness of the moment, but it was all I could think of to fill the silence. Olivia blinked, caught off guard. “Lubh… thanks,” she replied softly, her voice barely above a whisper. I tried to steer the conversation, hoping to ease the tension. “What was the song you were humming?” I asked, my voice steady, but with a trace of curiosity.

Beyond that was the creak of tree branches and the occasional call of an owl. On the other side of Claudia’s bed, Olivia just seemed to stare into space. She was a woman of exceptional beauty, but I knew she thought, quiet rightly, that her understanding of the Luna’s position was her greatest strength. I admitted I was proud she was my son’s wife, though I certainly had nothing to do with it.
