I needed to show him I wasn’t just the anxious kid. And then I saw it. Buried in the back, a relic from a long-ago, ill-advised comic-con phase. A full, vibrant, purple and green Joker shirt, complete with a garish, printed waistcoat and tie. It was definitely a statement. “Perfect,” I muttered to myself, pulling it on. I paired it with my best pair of dark jeans. I looked in the mirror. I looked cool and rebellious, right? Jax was all about breaking rules. This fit.

I played with my phone in my hand to distract myself until I saw him out of the corner of my eye. Since it was a Michelin restaurant, he wore an elaborate houndstooth pattern suit which gave him a sporty, yet stylish look. The five buttons of his double-breasted jacket were all buttoned up except for one, adding a subtle touch of nonchalance which worked perfectly. The jacket fit him like a well-tailored glove. The pants—same color as the jacket was a slightly different pattern, yet they created a perfect balance with his shoes. He was wearing a sharp pair of cap toe oxfords.

I was not so sure about how in the hell would an ordinary botton serve as what they used to ceal someone's power. His shirt is like a jacket that cover him down to his kneel. The button that is supposed to be at his next part was the one he dropped, though he did not bring it from his neck but brought it out of his pocket.
