Scarlett’s POV Luna's gaze turned serious, and her voice took on a somber tone. "Since you and Freda left, our pack has been relentlessly attacked by a group of rogue wolves," Luna began, her eyes reflecting the weight of the situation. "These wolves, however, are not like any we have encountered before. They appear to be under the control of an external force, their actions driven by something beyond their own will." My heart skipped a beat, and a chill ran down my spine. Possessed wolves? It seemed like a concept straight out of a supernatural tale, but the seriousness in Luna's voice assured me that this was no mere fiction.

What is her gift? - We, by virtue of nature, cannot freely communicate with animals, they are afraid of us, - she began to explain, - and werewolves with such a gift not only approach any animals calmly, but also feel their life streams. The battle willl stretch ‘til night. In place of the men were wolves, all mighty and ferocious. Fierce slit eyes, a magnificent mane of fur, and razor sharp nails digging the soil. The wolves sat and it was the others’ cue to climb onto them. Atleast four men could ride one wolf. Another howl came from Flavian, and altogether, the wolves huffed and took a leap. In the blink of an eye, all that was left of them were dust from the utter speed.

As we ventured deeper into the village, I noticed the approach of several wolves, who began to whisper to each other. One wolf with shining fur spoke up: “She's a hybrid! What is the Alpha doing with a cursed creature?” A wolf with a harsh and imposing voice replied: “After this, we will all be considered cursed, for the Goddess will not forgive us.” Another smaller wolf joined the group and asked: “Did the beast steal our king's mind?”

even the Alpha. Balthazar could have been anyone, but he wasn’t. He was a monster, like all wolves, and a worse one than most. It was he who directed the wolves of Banglador. It was he who plucked a Hunter from his horse without a sound. It was he who was mysterious as the shadows. And it was he who Lunus was determined to kill with the shining frame a single silver bullet.

I watched as she peeped her head out from under my arm and looked at him. “Y.. yes.” She mumbled out. “Brilliant. And have you seen one of our kind transform?” He asked and she nodded. “I've seen Nate, Al, Juvia and Leon all shift into their wolves. They are beautiful.” She spoke threw sniffles as she watched him intently. “That's good. Do you know much about wolves?” He asked again as he started folding the paper without looking at it. She shook her head. “No. Just what I've learned here about them having a pack.” She replied as she moved a little further away from me to see what he was doing.

If she got out of this alive, she would have to remember to thank the devil incarnate. The wolves surrounded them and growled at the hunters, showing them their long and sharp teeth. Lola tried to ignore the pain in her leg and shouted loudly, “HELP ME! I AM NOAH GREY HIS MATE. THESE MEN SHOT ME. REVENGE YOUR ALPHA.” The hunters looked at her wondering what kind of insane nonsense she was spilling but the wolves did not hesitate. Lola laughed wickedly when they jumped the hunters and ripped off their flesh. Her vision started to become blurrier by the second, she felt a wet wolf nose against her cheek before she passed out from the pain and blood loss.

As it rushed over, it could already spot Rudy and Grayson carrying the man into the spirit vessel. The hungry wolf, suddenly angered, looked up to the skies and let out a long howl, and Rudy turned to look back at it. That one glance caused Rudy to almost kneel on the floor in fear. "A one-eyed frost wolf! It's a mature one-eyed frost wolf!" Fane inhaled sharply at this; it was just as he had thought. The fur they had encountered before this belonged to the very wolf right ahead of them! This wolf had already matured, and a matured one-eyed frost wolf was already at the spring-solidifying realm. It was a being that could kill Rudy with one swipe of its claw!

“It wants to be free.” Mara drew a sharp breath. “It’s bound for a reason. Nothing survives this long without a reason.” Caleb’s eyes flicked from the glowing runes to the creature’s flickering eyes. “Looks like a reason that’ll kill us if we pick wrong.” The wolves lowered themselves to the ground, a low tremor running through their bodies. One of them, the largest, crept forward and pressed its nose to the edge of the platform. Its tail wagged once — not submission, but recognition.
