Jake replied and grinned as he drove them back to the clubhouse. Warren didn’t say anything, but he gave Jake a look as he pulled up to the clubhouse and parked his truck at the back of the bar. He followed Jake when he got out and headed to a side door. Jake scanned his palm and typed in a code before the door clicked open. Inside the clubhouse, Warren was greeted by men wearing Warrior cuts. He glanced around at the men all staring at him and he knew then that he never would’ve made it inside this place, not with the intention of walking out again.

I opened it. One new message. Wrong platform. Check the war room. And that was how Renaud broke: not into weakness, but into truth just in time for the next message to drag us home again.

“They are starting a war. Fuck!” ****************

This announcement made Francis more envious. “How could they pick him over me? " he muttered . “I cannot watch that weakling win that scholarship.” That evening, Francis went to meet his dad in his room, “Daddy, I cannot take this anymore,” he cried. His father put down his phone. “Talk to me, Francis. What is it?” “It’s school.” His father’s face turned red. “What happened at school?” “Mr. Kola chose Tyler to represent the school at the music competition instead of me! Francis cried. “He can’t even hold a flute properly.”

No masks, no wars, no venom, no politics. Just us. For now.

What would follow wouldn’t be silence. It would be war.

Lucien nodded, “He’s a much meeker version of me. Nik wants peace, same as I.” I was much calmer now that his flirtatious tendencies had turned down a notch, “Then why can’t you be allies? You should fight against the common enemy.” “Enemy?? You mean Atlas?” I nodded. He laughed again, “The history of the three packs must’ve been kept hidden from your people. Nik and I can’t just go against the moonhaven pack, they’re the largest pack across all territories. Atlas controls the biggest army, we don’t call those heathens a pack…they’re an army being ruled by a blood lusting Alpha.”
