We got inside, removed our shoes, and dropped onto the soft violet rug.
Dinner was served, and instantly we began eating.
"So tell me...did you ask Liam for help?" Amara asked, chewing down on her beef fried rice.
I glanced up from my plate of shrimp fried rice.
"Ask what?"
"Oh, come off it. Someone is pushing that blog post, and you've been beefing with her."
"I am not beefing with anyone. I only told the truth, and nothing would have been out if she had decided to stay away."
"It's not you?" Amara asked again, this time her face slightly twitching as she dropped her spoon and picked up a wipe.
