As forgiveness set in the air, I uttered a heartfelt apology, my voice filled with sincerity and remorse. "Now, I know. I'm sorry," I murmured, lifting my gaze to meet Mom's and Grandpa's eyes. In a tender moment of understanding, they both smiled, a silent gesture of acceptance that spoke volumes. Their smiles bridged the distance between us, and with unspoken reconciliation, they drew closer, enveloping me in a warm embrace. "We have forgiven you," Grandpa's voice carried relief and love, his words a balm to my wounded soul.

Because of the 'lo siento' crap, Arthur said. "Hahaha!" I burst out laughing. "That's Spanish for you. It's another way of saying "I'm sorry." Before looking out the window, I explained. "Ohh." Arthur murmured and nodded his head. "How do you know I'm upset with you?" He inquired.

I leaned my head against the window and thought about how far we had come in the last few weeks after the 'incident' as Mom called it. I had convinced everyone to forgive Sam. I knew that he hadn't meant for any of this to happen and while I still didn't really like him, I was at least cordial with him. Scarlett had felt guilty for giving Sam my number those few times even though I and everyone else had repeatedly told her that it wasn't her fault.
