I strain to turn and look as it’s caught, pulled up for a second by a gust of playful wind, and then yanked over the railing to drop to its death in the water below.
“So long, asshole!” I yell after it, straining my head out the window, not even sorry that what must have cost her hundreds, maybe even a thousand, is now going to be floating around down there and hopefully gets washed out to sea.
