Beside Avi, Kael whispered, horrified, “…that’s the Red Demon?” Avi choked on a laugh. “Don’t call her that to her face.” “She heard me, didn’t she?” Kael stiffened. Brie’s massive head swung toward him. She snorted hot air blasting his hair back like a gale then chuffed in amusement before shifting. Her dragon form rippled, compressed, and in a flash of light, the Queen stood before them in ceremonial white and red, smiling sweetly.
